Does anybody know anything about him? Apparently we are signing him and looking to loan him out. At 25 he's not exactly a youngster with bags of potential.

Luke Brattan is a defensive midfielder, who was born in Hull and was recommended by Melbourne City. I wonder if he will eventually play for Melbourne City or NYCFC, instead?

He has played for the Brisbane Roar who are currently in some financial strife. He's a deep playing midfielder with a great range of passing. Maybe they'll loan him back to Melb City.

Good player? Yes.
Great player? Mmm
Top player? Nope.

Funnily enough I got to interview him about a month ago, about topics other than this. Would have been nice to have come across him more recently.

Being a season ticket holder at the roar ive been watching him for years. No way will he ever play for us, if we buy him it ain't for our team.

Thanks guys, I doubted he was of the ability to be playing in our first team. So why are we signing someone to loan them to potentially NYC or Melbourne? Why don't they just sign him themselves? Or is this a way of getting around different transfer windows or player registration rules?

I was wondering this too. If he's average at best, why bother us getting involved to play loopholes, fair enough if he was an exceptional talent (in the MLS or Aussie league) but why court potential controversy over an average Joe?

Roar seem to being going broke and he's been making noise about getting out, Id say we're stepping in to facilitate his move to nycfc or probably melbourne

But what is stopping Melbourne or NYCFC from going direct? The brief interview i read he didn't mention either of the above and was specifically talking about City & coming to England...........

Long blond locks and a beard. Anything but.

How certain are you that we're signing him? It would be more likely that 'City Football Group' was signing him. (I'd put money on New York or Melbourne being his destination)

I think we are finally buying players that will help Messi settle to Manchester and eat at Greggs.

He'll be our Martial. In other weird and seemingly Redknapp/Fergiescum scum signings news, what happened to those two shit Spanish lads we signed from Girona? Remember Pep's brother being involved somehow
