Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Were they ever in it?
They are already five behind us, have some tough fixtures coming and look in danger of losing any game, any time. They are woefully short of a striker and look like goals will be tough to come by. They lack the creativity and guile to break down teams week after week as you have to if you have title aspirations. They've spent a lot of money, but on second/third tier type players. In short, they are a bit shit.
On the flip side, they last time they won the League, they were pretty damn average and scrawped a lot of one nils and two ones. . . And they have just bought the finest future talent in global football.
So, are they in it? Or not?
City and sniffing knickers.
Come on Blues.

They have signed the best world class young player in the world for a bargain price who will win the Golden Boot and smash all previous EPL records. So, no they ain't out if it.
What they are though is cunts.
I haven't a fecking clue what I'm doing! Gillie come back man I want my sig back. As the Photobucket thingy gone?

Sadly I would say they are probably our biggest rivals for the title. Their game tomorrow might tell us a lot though. They usually do well against the Saints but if they lose tomorrow I might change my thinking but a lucky away win there even so early in the season and they will be a big threat.

I would imagine that, unless we implode, they stand little or no chance.
If we carry on along a similar vein throughout the season, we will most likely bag it.
I agree though, that they are arguably our closest rivals at this stage, but the season has still a long way to go and much could change over the 33 remaining fixtures.

I don't think any of the main contenders are out of it, despite the media hype. We won 6 games on a run at one point last season and also had a spell of 14 games unbeaten, but we didn't win anything.

United were never in it, they look awful.
It looked like either Chelsea or City this year, with an outside chance to Arsenal. United are 4th best team in the league and it would take City and Arsenal falling to pieces for them to somehow end up at the top. They are a jammy bunch though so maybe that's more likely than I give them credit for.

I found that funny but in all seriousness, they've fucked us up in the run-in both times we won the league in recent years. If they do it again at least it won't be Connor-Wickham who does the scoring.
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"
"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

I find it funny and tragic at the same time, I really did mean it though. Sunderland are the new Everton.

I agree. Somehow the cunts just seem win games even though they are shite.
I still find these topics silly after five games though.

De Gay coming back to them is huge plus and he will win them a lot of points if he will be interested in helping the club and not thinking of Madrid.
The fuckers have some good moments during a game, but i really hope that the madness of Louie can take them down.

Me too, but unfortunately I think relegation this season for them is too much to ask

Just thought I'd quote this so we can all blame you for the results this weekend. Care to predict the derby result?
