Monaco will pay 8.8m for him and send him straight on loan to lille. Shame as he has that silva touch about him. However manu garcia is a better prospect imo.

Best of luck rony

Just saw that now. 8.8m is good money, but would have loved to have seen someone from the academy get some game time this season. Others can tell us whether he was good enough or not. I suppose time will tell.
Ah well. Maybe Nacho will get a game this year.
I won't hold my breath though.

I didn't see the Silva touch personally, but had high hopes for Rocky nonetheless.

Manu Garcia is definitely more the Silva type, although I thought that Rory could've given us something a bit more direct & bullish.

8.8 million will do any day. Anyone know how much we paid for him?

100k - 500k, something in this region, he's been with us a long time. Shame he couldn't push through, he had a shot at it with the talent he has but just wasn't to be.

8.8 million English sterling, is a very good deal for a lad with only a year left on his contract. Well played city!

Its a good reflection on the academy getting that type of money for an unproven lad.
Wonder if there is a buy back clause, there should be.

It certainly is. If you could get that sort of money on a couple of players every year it would certainly help when spending big each summer.
I'd hazard a guess that you would get that at least for Denayer right now.
Considering how much we paid for Roberts, you would imagine that any of the young English kids like Barker or Humphreys would go at a premium price also.
Even if they don't burst through into our first team, making money on transfers and as 'sheblue' says, having a first choice buy back option, sounds like The Academy is set up to be a success, already.

that's a great price for him.

You'd have thought a prem club would have loved a player like him at that price...but, hey ho...

cheers

My thoughts exactly. I have seen attacking situations with Navas where I have thought Lopes could and would have done much better but I just don't think he has shown enough all round game to make it at City. Seems that someone has made that tough decision.

Definitely not Silva like but I would have liked to have seen him play a time or two for City's first team to get a closer look at whether he can make it.

Great bit of business I reckon. Barely played a game and getting nearly £9m. Most probably a sell on percentage as well. A couple of these a year and the academy is paying for itself.

Good luck to the lad. It was a shame he had Silva, then Sterling and possibly KDB in front of him as he was unlikely to get much of a look in, but he will do well in France

I do hope we have this, or a buy back clause just in case he really kicks on there as he does have bags of potential imo. I always saw him as the replacement for Nasri, not Silva.

MP said in today's Presser that it was a loan. MEN reported that too, but a permanent deal has been announced.

Clearly not in MP's radar eh? 10M euros as reported is good.

It's a great price for a player who hasn't even started his career yet.
