Avoiding real, barca and bayern is a plus for me. We should beat anyone else and if we don't we can only blame ourselves.

Bring it on.

Tougher group than others but we have the prospect of some great games ahead.Juventus and Sevilla coming off the back of super seasons but both looking considerably weaker now, I think we have a good shot at topping this group.

Fookin rags get an easy ride again and there is a certain irony to us making it easier for them in buying De Bruyne, Wolfsburg are nothing without him. I guess the only positive is that had we drawn them, they wouldn't sell him to us.

Oh btw, if no one else has mentioned it, collymore on talkshite, has Seville down to win the group!

He also reckons Whinger boys will beat Bayen Munich away, because they've done it before and top their group, other pundit replied 'but they've (arse) won Jack shit for 10yrs, City are used to winning trophies and leagues now'

Unlike previous years, there doesn't seem to be a "big" team who are going to run away with the group leaving us to struggle for second place. Plus there's a good chance the others will all take points off each other. Win our home games and get a couple of points on the road and we'll finish top.

It's up to us

Without Bayern, CSKA or Roma in the group, how will we recognise this as the Champion's League?

This is one of the few bonuses of not drawing one of the so-called minnows a bazillion miles away.

Also won't likely be playing in horrifically frigid temperatures like CSKA away last season.

When I read this article before the CL draw, I had to double check and make sure that Red Devil's Hell hasn't frozen over and that der Schwein hasn't started to fly!
Rio actually predicted that City will do better, than the other English teams, in the CL!

I think the rags could find that group tougher than their media luvies expect, no great teams there, including the rags. In our group, Sevilla away looks attractive to me.

Putting aside what others have drawn, it's our most winnable group yet so I'm happy.

Absolutely spot on about the rags.
And Sevulla is tempting me too.

Those prices are excellent. And I reckon it'll be cheaper for the other games.

On the face of it, that group is tough. But I have long held the view that we need to win our group to get a kinder tie in the last 16, or really turn up against one of the big teams. This certainly gives us a chance at the former. Borussia nor Juve have started particularly well and both will probably be slightly less daunting than last season.

Not to mention a couple of cracking away trips. Germany is always ace and Sevilla should be fun. ( Turin doesn't especially enthuse me mind)
It would have been better without a decent side from Pot 4 but not having Bayern or Barca presents a golden chance.
