To be honest I dont think a few minutes here or there, spread around several players, is of much value; it pleases the fans, but other than getting the debut out of the way it does little for the player. Better to focus on one player, like Ian Nacho, and get him some proper experience in the squad and later in the season some decent minutes, then get Denayer the same next year.

It might keep everyone quiet while I'm pellers fugures out which ones are worth a start tho.
Tracking back is overrated.

Anybody see Dicks comments from Sunderland? He was asked about signing Denayer and said no because he was going to another club.

No - that in turn was revenge for Wyn Davies.

Yeah, but it'd annoy the hell out of everyone here I think if we were the solution for Everton that allowed Chavski to sign Stones.

If that makes sense, which it probably doesn't.

Yep I get you, unfortunatly just like sterling, he will go regardless of who everton replace him with one would imagine. Jonny Evans prob be his real replacement and Denayer can live happily in France!

It'd be Florence in a no-brainer for me of those three cities. Granted, i've never been to any of the three, but i'm guessing Jason hasn't either. Plus i think Serie A would be a much better comp to gauge him by, esp. the last few seasons.

cheers

Yes it's my favourite French City, the football team wear sky blue and the people arent like the stuck-up Parisians.

His representative told Sky Sports News HQ that Denayer had options in England, France, Italy, Spain and Germany, but chose a move to Galatasaray.

So he passed on a Premiership club it seems.

EDIT: Apparently the choice is because he wants to play Champions League football.

He'll get 6 matches before Gala are dumped out. Stupid reason to reject better leagues, clubs, and cities

I think it is a perfectly reasonable move. A step up on Celtic and he will get some new experiences. I really cannot see what is to be gained by loaning a defender to a struggling side where the defence is constantly under pressure. The risk of damaging confidence can outweigh the experience. Still have high expectations of this lad and anticipate him to return as Demi's replacement next year.
