Says a great deal about him that he has no intention to buy a house. Not here in Manchester for the log haul clearly.

Well to be fair Pellegrini never bought a house either. However he knew the terms of his employment. Jose by contrast hopes to be the new Fergie.

They're chasing former glories.

I actually think he's hanging around, like a bad smell, because he somehow sees himself as being perfect for the England job.

He has a house in London and I believe his kids go to school there.

He's so delusional that he can't see that he would terrify the FA stuffed shirts right out of their tiny minds. By the same criterion, even our incompetent FA wouldn't be so completely incompetent as to employ him in the first place.

It is strange though, Mo has got the job he coveted.
In no time at all he looks like he has lost his mojo.
Looks defeated, no fight, just going through the motions.
Going by tonight's comments setting himself up to leave - blaming the team's attitude, etc... The slippery slope for sure.

I find it all very very amusing and immensely enjoyable.
Fergie's empire being dismantled brick by brick.

I wonder what the inside story is with Mo?.
There has to be one and I guess that would be the funniest of the lot.

This.

He desperately wanted the United gig for his CV but he wasn't emotionally in the right place for it when the opportunity came and when he got there he found an even bigger pile of shite than he knew about.

I would love to know what he proposed when he was angling for the job and went along to give his PowerPoint presentation setting out exactly what was wrong with the team and how he would set about getting United back up there in their rightful place

This could just as easily go in the Football Media thread but it's rather apt here too:

From Ragcafe. Note the subliminal, unconscious reference to the Evil Empire, which they seemED to thrive on:

They told me....

Kagawa was Japanese Jesus.
Schmidfield would rule the world.
Van Gaal was an entertainer.
Darmain was the third Neville brother.
Jones was a future England captain.
Januzaj was a future WPOTY.
Depay was the next Ronaldo.
Ibrahimovich still had it.
Mkhitaryan had more assists than MS Office Paperclip.
Valencia was rubbish.
Fergie was Palpatine, Mourinho was Vader.
Everything was Rooney's fault.

So basically a big feck upon your face Redcafe. Go wash your legs. Modric.

What has Redcafe lied to you about?

They said that:

1. Jose will instill the winning mentality to the team
2. Zlatan, Pogba will bring the swag, the arrogance back to Old Trafford
3. With our muscle and height, we can bully those little midgets (aka City)
4. Jose is about instant success
5. Ibra is the Jose's de facto leader on pitch
6. Jose's team is capable of attack attack attack, score score score
7.Pogba will light up the PL and dominate all the other teams

But......

Darmian is the best right back in the league.
Shaw is the best left back in the league.
Smalling is the best centre back in the league.
Schneiderlin is the best defensive midfielder in the league.
Pogba is the best midfielder in the world. ( )
Mhykitaryan was the best player in the Bundesliga.

For some reason I switched on Talk Shite last night after 10 to listen to gobshite Goldstein getting laughed at by moron Cundy only to find Goldstein hadn't turned up! Alledgedly because he was stuck in traffic!

What is apparent from what I eventually heard is that many, Goldstein leading the way, are in some sort of denial about Mourinho. There is still a conviction that he will emulate his past successes at the swamp but needs at least 3 transfer windows to do it. Totally no acceptance that he is no longer "that" Mourinho who actually could motivate a team and organise them into winning games etc etc.

Those who think differently just see almost a broken man complaining about his life and living conditions, blaming his team for not carrying out his instructions and pointing the finger at individuals. Listening to his interviews he clearly isn't the same guy we saw when he first took over at Chelsea. He seems depressed to me and if things don't turn around soon for him he could be gone by Xmas

Slightly off topic but Warren Joyce's Wigan, who he joined this week from the rags reserve team, find themselves 2-0 down after three minutes. Once a rag

On ESPNFC just now they went back to picks made by 3 of their pundits and host Dan Thomas for top 4 in the Prem from the start of the season and compare to their views now.

Originally one had United winning, and the other three picked us to win the league. Arsenal, Liverpool, and Chelsea made out (I believe) the rest of the top 4.

Today, we were picked 1st again by the three pundits, but this time Dan Thomas went for Liverpool.

That was the last segment, so just before the show ended Thomas says, "Well, there's one thing we can agree on though. United stinks." and this followed with laughter by everyone and then the show cut out...
