I firmly believe that Van Gaal will implode at some point and be gone by the seasons end.

Then it'll be a different matter with an Ancelotti, Klopp or God forbid Pep in charge.

Enjoy this whilst it lasts - they will be back

They maybe back in some form or other but not in the guise they once were, dominating because of their financial c!out.

I'll enjoy it for as long as it lasts and, by fuck. I'm enjoying it now

I honestly think there is an issue with their 'Financial Clout' with the Glazers needing to syphon some more money away. We know they were in for Otamendi and Pedro et al and it only seems that they didn't get them because they couldn't/wouldn't pay the asking price.

Sounds like a cost cutting exercise to me, now they've reached the CL they're happy.

But they paid more for the French kid than either of the other two you mentioned ending up costing so I don't think it's a cost cutting story at all.

The glazers will always siphon. They are like venture equity owners. Their investment always comes with the balance of taking out just as much to make sure they are getting their share. Unlike city who've genuinely invested in the club and community for the best interests of both groups long term goals.

Most clubs operate or would operate like the Rags are. We are just special and should appreciate it. It's incredibly unique in world football.

Which is precisely why they hate us. That kind of benevolence in a sound business plan, just shouldn't be allowed. It's not fair. It's not the business plan
all the rest of them use. How can it benefit the greedy owners sufficiently to keep the place ticking over? Where's the rewards?

The rewards are coming. And pretty soon. A lot of the ordinary fans are starting to wake to the unsavoury truth IMO. We will not go away, because ours is a better financial plan than their's. Yes it took huge investment, but these people are major players and had the money to do it. They don't do short term strategy, they are in it for the long haul and the rewards that they seek from it will be massive.

There is a point in the midst of all this and one i agree with, its the reason why we get no favors from the officials and utd/liverpool do, make no mistake its not in the leagues interest in the short term for us and or chelsea to dominate and liverpool/utd to struggle. Long term that should change as our popularity grows and we become something akin to them around the globe.

Have a read of this link. If you have even a moderately functioning brain it will spell out for you why there is only one big beast in the league now and why that fact is not going to change any time soon.

Seems to me they're doing a pretty good job of failing in any case!

Liverpool and Spuds are pretty much on a par. But the only reason the Dippers are constantly mentioned in amongst the 4 serious clubs is the massive proliferation of ex-players in the media, unable to comprehend that their club is now mediocre and mid-table, not top 4.

I was going to reply to the guy, something along those lines, but didn't see the point.
You're dead right though John and I can only see their boys being there for somewhere between the next 5-10 years. They will be replaced by ex players of whoever was successful this decade. If they don't pull up their socks soon, they won't be in the media mix.

They are playing catch up to spuds. Haven't spuds finished above liverpool 5 of the last 6 seasons?

The reasoning in your first paragraph is contradicted by the reasoning in your second, because if investment had befallen us and Chelski from the outset instead, then you lot would not have been subjected to the media wankfest in the first place.

Thought I'd expand on your reference to defecate.
So basically you're saying that ten of thousands of maggots surrounding a huge turd validates the palatable pull of said turd. Interesting.
