I think it's more of a gamble playing a not match fit Fernandinho than Zuculini. On the other hand, in all the games Zuculini did play in the pre-season there was him, Yaya + A.Nother (Delph, Fernando or Garcia). He probably would struggle having to cover for Yaya on his own.

I think it's more of a gamble starting a youth player who couldn't get a game at Valencia vs. a Brazilian international and regular for our club. What is everyone smoking on here? the most pessimistic pot ever

Of course you're right. I had just hoped to see at least one kid in the starting line up. I thought they all did great in pre-season, and I got really excited about having some kids take the step into the first team this season. Seeing the same old same old is a bit of a let down.
