***Community Shield: Arsenal v Chelsea***

Postby Beefymcfc » Sun Aug 02, 2015 11:49 am

Anybody watching it?

I've noticed it's on BT Sport 2 and luckily they're showing it over here. Planned my day accordingly. A bit of golf, do the gardens and then sat in front of the box with a few Wobblies.

Not really arsed who wins it but it brings me from hibernation and signals that the season is back on.

Come On The Blues!!!

I've had the build-up on for five seconds and I've already had to look at 'Pug' Ferdinand and now listen to Harry Redknapp patronising some young people.

Why are ppl expecting Mourinho to get the best out of Falcao? Not like he turned Torres' career around.. what is his track record here?

Looks like Chelsea are starting how they left off. Ramirez standing on Corzola's leg then Fabregas hitting the ground like he's just been lamped.

Apart from that, very congested from both teams.

PS. Hope Arsenal don't sign a decent striker, that could be the difference in them challenging, or not.

That's why I went for a spot of golf, just got back for the KO. I bet they got some Rag & Dipper stuff in there as well.

We all know Falcao is a good striker, the only issue is the injury. With another year of training (not game time) with the Rags I can see him getting back to his best. Despite Maureen.

Ivanovic raking Cazorla's achilles with his studs - only a free kick given. They've clearly targeted him for treatment.

Deserved from Arsenal. Chelsea are there only to work their stamps and play for freekicks, in a fucking friendly!

Good goal.

Decent goal, even if it was Arsenal.

How the fuck did Ramirez niss that?

As for Owen, he's slated Remy all game for being offside yet just says 'Remy, just onside again'! Absolute fuck-wit.

Edit. Ha ha ha, and now the little shit is having a go at him again.

There seems to be a bit of a media 'campaign', at the moment, to present Chelsea's efforts of last season, in a more favourable light.

The current line of thought is that, up to Christmas they were swashbucking/exciting/scintillating (chose whichever adjective you want) but, after the holiday period, they had to adapt their style because of injuries etc. to ensure the League was safely won.

To my mind, even in their supposedly exciting spell where they scored a few goals, they were still pedestrian in how they approached each game.

It must be wonderful to be able to re-write and re-present history.

If your name is Ferguson, Mourinho or Wenger its easy to rewrite history. You just spout some bullshit in a press conference and let the stupid media obsessed fuckwits lap it up and report it as gospel the next day

Usually I'd want this to go down to ET/penalties but after watching it I want Maureen to really suffer this season.
