I do wonder if we are stalling on moving forward with any more signings until we make room in the squad by shifting Dzeko or Jovetic.

I think there is every chance that is true. We are nowhere near selling Dzeko or Jovetic on permanent deals. It is very unlikely this will happen given their wages. If suitable loan deals can be found then maybe we can push forward with our targets but we are not close with any big names joining at the moment. Th season starts soon but there are 6 weeks of this window left.

Great news if true. I'll put the party hats on stand by.

Yeah. At least we won the Hughes debate. That is no doubt now.

"Edin didn't play the last game as it's not clear if he will continue here"
well, he played vs Real. i wonder if that means we've finally told Roma to fuck off with their ridiculous bids for him

How much do they want us to pay them for Dzeko?

Did you watch city towards the end of our last title win?
It doesn't seem like you did.

Even bad players like Dzeko can have a decent run of form.

Certainly not a bad player and we should always remember who leveled the score against QPR to make that Aguerooooooo moment possible as well as the excellent run in 2014 and his part in the 6-1. I do however think that it is now time he moved on, we need a greater level of consistency than he can manage and he looks like he feels out of sorts with us now.

My feelings exactly in the cold light of day. On match days they are slightly less pg though.

He very much looks like he will be heading to pastures new. In the main this is sad news for me. He has contributed hugely towards our success recently and he has made many happy memories for City fans. However, in the cold light of day, he is 29 and his attitude at times is somewhat perceived to be less than is required. A younger, hungrier player such as Iheanacho will be knocking on the door, (and hopefully banging it down), this season and he deserves his chance. Bony will play a bigger part this season as well.
Should we sign another attacking player, KDB or Reus for example, I think we will have enough in our squad to score goals. I know a few of you would rather us sign another replacement, and I get that totally, but i think we will strengthen in other areas, such as midfield (Pogba) or floating forward (KDB).
If he does go I shall have mainly very fond memories of him with a tinge of regret we didn't play to his strengths more often. Wish him good luck, unless he goes to another top4 club

He had a greater range of good to bad first touch than any player I've ever known.
Scored some important goals, played 185 games for a return of 71 goals certainly not Aguero, but closer to him than to Corradi, deserves a little respect even if it is time to show him the door.
Equaliser against QPR.
9 in the last 11 games of the 2013-14 season.
4 against Spurs.(including left, right, head hatrick)
Losing count of how many we scored during the 6-1 at the swamp.
26 in 46 in the 2013-14 season.
Scored the goal against Bolton that gave us 3rd place in the 2010-11 season.
Scored twice in the 3-2 against Everton the same day Liverpool fucked up and gave away top spot.
