That's what 55 million pounds gets you. Not at his best but pops up with a goal like that. Keeper didn't even move as the quality of the shot was that good. Warming up nicely.

If he carries on like this he will be footballer of the year...and I think that unlike our other top players he has a built in advantage that he has the Chelsea back story. It's interesting how quite a few journalists are now waxing lyrical about what a great player he is and I think this momentum will build if he can keep up this level of performance.

I also like the fact that he's always on the front foot in interviews - possible future captain???
