I really don't know if I have missed something obvious during this window, but why arent we going all in for him?
With Dzeko and Jovetic making way, he should be the perfect replacement.
Have we been linked? Is he going somewhere else? Have I missed a thread about him?

I read a quote from their president warning off clubs and in particular Liverpool at that time saying they didnt have the resources to sign him. He would command a sizeable transfer fee, he is young and looks good, but he has had 1 good season in France, its not a sure thing.

Worse stats than Benteke, more expensive and coming from a poorer league in a position where currently we dont need anyone and even if we sell Jovetic and dzeko we may not need him.
Thats how i see it....

Worse stats? Really?
52 Goals / 9 Assists Vs 28 Goals / 8 Assists in last 2 seasons.
He might be from a poorer league, but he was the best in that league. Everyone comes from a poorer league anyway.
So you dont think we need someone if we lost both of them?
I just cant see us relying on Aguero / Bony / Nacho all season

Pellegrini may consider Sterling as a potential striker. The club's also bought a young French striker. Don't know how good he is but he's played for their Under 21s.

Hmmm im not sure where i read that about the stats, but yours seem a bit misleading, do you have games played as Benteke missed alot of last season. And why stop at the last two seasons?

A quick look at wiki tells me 129 Appearances 51 goals for Lacazette, 88 appearances 42 goals for Benteke. Not to mention Benteke's are premier league goals.
International record Lacazette has one goal in 8 appearances for france, benteke 7 in 24.
I am just glancing at these stats they may be misleading but i read a while ago a report which said Benteke had better stats than Lacazette on a liverpool forum when they were looking at both.
id need to do my own research to be certain though.
