PL Transfers Overview (Mark Blue Army style)

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

PL Transfers Overview (Mark Blue Army style)

Postby mr_nool » Tue Jul 14, 2015 1:17 pm

In the absence of Mark (Blue Army) and because all my clients seem to have gone on holiday at the same time, leaving me bored senseless at work, I thought I'd put together an overview of this summer's transfer dealings. Feel free to let me know when any deal goes through, and I will update.
If you know any confirmed transfer sums, let me know. It's all listed as "undisclosed" on the website from where I shamelessly stolen the info below.

WW, feel free to merge with the sticky thread!

Nice one Nooly, I reckon such a $terling effort needs its own sticky thread, so we can leave this as fact and the other as rumour

Nice job copycat Nooly!
these threads have always been one to keep an eye on.

speaking of the transfers I think that Cech transfer could be a big one for Arsenal. When was the last time they had a decent keeper? Lehmann, 2008?
and it pains me to say but the scum have done well to strenghten their midfield

Mr. Nool, many thanks for taking the time to gather all this information and post it here.
As you have requested, here are a few extra additions to your City list... They were probably overlooked, since these players had been out on loan, this past season. However, City will now be receiving payment for the permanent sale of these players. So, I hope it will be helpful to note their departures here. Also, I included a link to the official list of retained & released players, from June 10th.

Cheers WhyAlwaysMe!

I've not included the academy lads + Guidetti since neither of them have played any senior games for City.
And what was really the situation with Lampard? Did we sign him and then "transferred" his contract to NYFCF or did they sign him and we loaned him?

The British press at the time of his extension with us were claiming he only ever signed a written intention to sign a contract for NYCFC - Lampard himself is quoted as saying he never actually signed a contract with them before coming to us on loan. (Going on memory).

Basically, they said "just fucking take his wage bill off our hands and slide us some pocket change."

Bizarre. I'm sure we'd get an anal creampie from the Incredible Hulk if we pulled a stunt like this. How is it actually...."legal"?

Cool Mr_Nool! Great info and many thanks for this excellent thread!
I still find it disappointing that John Guidetti was never given more than a League Cup appearance & some pre-season friendlies to play with the senior team. Considering that Guidetti scored goals and assists for almost every team that he has ever played for, I will always wonder if Txiki & Ferran made a mistake, by completely overlooking Guidetti.

As for Frank Lampard, he had signed a 6 month contract with MCFC, until January 2015, with the expectancy of signing for NYCFC, when the MLS season started. Thankfully, we persuaded Frank to extend his contract with MCFC, so that he could be honoured and cherished in exactly the right way, that Chelsea disgracefully denied him!
