There was a related story on that link, which reckoned we might be interested in Llorente at Swansea because, at 6'4" in height, he offered an aerial option which we didn't posses up front, at the moment.

A few years ago now, when Ted Hughes used to post on this forum, he was a big admirer of the player who, at that time, was with Atletico Bilbao and he reckoned he was someone that we should make every effort to sign. We had a good natured difference of opinion because, from all I'd seen of him, he looked pretty mediocre with the ball on the ground and at his feet and I thought he was more of a donkey than a good footballer.

Anyway, nothing came of it at that time.

I still think he's relatively awkward and clumsy in possession, so I don't think he's a Pep player and, at an age of 30+, I really hope we aren't interested in him now, after all these years and that nothing comes of this story.

mandzucic would be a better option

That would be a good call and certainly far far better than Llorente, albeit on a purely short term basis as he's also now around the 31 mark.

Someone of that ilk though, who was about 24 or 25, would be worth considering, to my mind.

I suppose the only justification they had to call it an FA Classic is that it was Second in the Premiership against second in the Championship at the time. Similar to yesterday.

Still pisses you off though, that they never fail to throw something negative into our games.

I've written a couple of times to our Premier League provider complaining over the choice of "highlights" in between City games. Nothing about City and when we play a non-top six club never about them.

It makes me angry and it's very poor marketing.

On what grounds could we threaten a lawsuit though? Genuine question, I'm not well versed on this subject.

Apart from outright libel, where it could actually be proven, defamation is a legal world of it's own that might provide a lot of fun in this particular context.

I'm not talking about actually going to Court, merely slipping the possibility of it into a press conference, as a course of action we might be forced to consider and then sitting back to see if that gets us anywhere.

I think that what's annoyed people is that they had to get a dig in at us, although the article had nothing to do with us.
TBH, I couldn't really see why people were getting upset about it until I considered the fact that in all the articles, slagging us of over spending, you never see the them having a dig at the rags in that way.
As Scatman said, any excuse for a dig, however tenuous is never missed.

I really don't know how the players sit there and answer those shit questions. I'd just tell them to fuck off.

They should all have the Roy Keane mentality when dealing with interviewers and media.
