I mentioned something similar about signings for the future last season when we were showing signs of coming out of our slump and it looked more likely Pellegrini would see out the final season of his contract. It's also possible it's just a natural refreshing of an ageing squad though.

Still useless?

Txiki has had a better window than some of us (including myself) had thought about a month ago when we seemed to miss on Pogba, and believed we were snubbed by Delph, leaving us with only Sterling into the first team.

Hasn't made any pure "crack" signings but quite a few that are strengthening us in areas that are needed.

We shall see what happens with De Bruyne, and next summer the targets will clearly be for be central midfield.

Got to be happy with their work up to now. Real competition in defence and attack and a rejuvenated Yaya. Big plus from me.

Compare and contrast to the other three sides in top four last year.

Happy with what theyve done.

Only "negative" would be the peanuts we settled for for Dzeko and Jovetic

It's been a great transfer window. We are much more stronger. Next summer we will have to bust the balls to get yayas replacement in.

We are definitely stronger than last year. It's been a good transfer window.
Add to that, some who were poor last year look really up for it this year.
Things are looking good.

I'll admit I may have jumped the gun earlier in the thread, now pleased with our signings, with Otamendi being the real surprise & a good one at that. The only concern would be over centre midfield, but we are set far better than the start of last season.

All questions now answered. Still blame them for Marsh and Daley though.
