They actually make Leatherface look like Slur Alex in terms of transfer successes.

Bunch of cunts these two are. Piss up in a brewery? Like a mastodon in a labrea tar pit. Hard. Fucking. Work.

Not a happy bunny today.

Cheers

Our club has become a club with many great qualities, yet still has the stigma of "nouveau riche," and one that players might be worried about joining due to the potential effect on their reputation. This has clearly been perpetuated by the media, now magnified via the Sterling saga, as well as our alleged "handling" of Rodwell, Sinclair and Micah further exacerbated by the departure of other English/homegrown players this close season, and the effects of FFP.

We cannot overpay as much as we used to and the fears and criticism of players who might join us is higher, versus leaving your club for Real, Barca, Chelsea, etc. We just somehow don't deserve these players and anyone trying to come to us must only be in it for the money, or is more in it for the money than if you go anywhere else. When we signed our core players that was an issue that was fresher in the traditional powers' minds who know know the way to beat us is make us look poor in the public eye, and raise prices so high that we are in the conversation, but too high for us to actually complete the move, hoping we will blink in desperation.

It seems to be a more wicked game now in the transfer market, where FFP has very much hindered us. It's a game of thrones...a battle for supremacy that we are not as able to win without consequences that hurt our reputation, risk of being "penalised", and enhance stereotypes of the club.

The Spafia, and Txiki in particular, has qualities, but they are not miracle workers. We have some budget restrictions, no? We are a target to the former powers, in particular, who want us to drop below them, no? We're not part of the clique and lower clubs who want "in" are naturally jealous of us even having a chance while they are frozen out post FFP. That's the environment, and I'm not sure anyone could do THAT much better.

Let's just wait a little before we panic. Things may look a lot different in a couple of weeks.

City need a deal done a big deal in more ways than one for us.

We should have been making enquiries from Feb onwards to get players in before pre season and get them in the squad playing with their team mates not just before the start of the season.
Pretty poor so far since the windows opened!!

Things are not great so far. I am not feeling overly confidant about tricky twixy. He has a lot to do.

At this point in time, it's starting to look that way.

The 'snub' from Delph was akin to a kick in the teeth and, so far, this transfer window is starting to look, ominously, like a complete non-event.

Things might change overnight in this respect, but there's no immediate confidence that it will, unless the revised master plan now is not to make any big signings and bring a load of youngsters in instead.

You've got to ask the question as to whether, or not, Txixi is all he is cracked up to be ??

We cant even nail lowly Delph as a signing... Shame the Spafia. This is pathetic beyond words...

As said previously we've done nothing of real note in the transfer market since Cooks days, our transfers dealings have been a joke for far too long now.Just so many over priced bang average signings the past few years, the hierarchy need to make a serious wave in the transfer market and soon.

So now the people who were on Marwood's case & said how Txiki etc will show him how it's done, realise they were talking bollocks ?

And who appoints these people ? Maybe they are to blame ? In fact they have to be surely ?

Or perhaps, just perhaps, it's not as easy as it appears to be.

Imo we will sign some top players anyway, just as Marwood did.

Delph was a stocking filler, KDB abd PP are players that are special. A club has to do something special to get the selling club, agent, and player to pick up a pen and sign.
Mar wood, This is not Barcelona, so Txki are you special enough to get the deals done. We have the money?

It's not just this summer though. They have failed to get our main targets every summer now. Terrible track record. Then we have likes of Bony and Mangala and even to some extent Navas. Managers take the blame but at some stage these guys have to take the responsibility.

'These guys' were getting the same shit, before, 'these guys' were even at the club.

Cook got it over Kaka, Marwood over several others, now Txiki over a couple.

It's obviously not the case that 'these guys' are told to just pay anything & sign everyone, or that City just click their fingers & players sign.

It's a myth in the minds of City fans imo.

Plus, people are calling this window as if it's a bad one, when I recon it will turn out the best one we've had since Aguero.

I think we should cut the Spafia some slack. They did a great job getting Mangala for £40m.
