I can't see Bale being the kind of player the Fat Waiter would like as he doesn't do enough defensively to fit in with that esteemed manager's playing philosophy.

We ought to make a cheeky bid for him - and who knows what might happen ??

Would prefer him to Sterling, but really don't think it's on this year.

In a straight choice between Bale or Sterling with no difference in transfer fees, I'd plump for Bale every time.

In a straight choice between Sterling at £50m or Bale at £70m ( remember the euro exchange is much more favourable), I'd still plump for Bale every time.

Doubt Madrid would sell, but you never know and if the dippers catch wind of a bid for Bale they will be on the blower quicker than they can light a candle trying to hawk Sterling
