Cole was listed as 'offered contract' on the MEN list of retained players recently. I may he wrong, but you can imagine 'Andrew' not being the best influence here, regarding him signing, now he has made full use of City's facilities. But we'll see.
Re strikers; I think we may be moving toward different systems, as foreverinbluedreams says, & specifically the kind of systems employed by the academy, Barca, Vieira, Pep, etc.
That doesn't usually involve more than 1 central striker, but can employ two widemen/strikers either side of a central one. We can see that both Sterling & DeBruyne can fill that role, as could Silva. Also they would all fit perfectly in a 451, 4231, 343. Then we have Rony Lopes who can play there, Iheanacho who is a No10"striker but imo could learn to play as a wide striker as well, Barker, Ambrose who already have played there, Boadu who plays as a No 10. And of course Nasri is still here.
Unless we are planning on sticking with 2 up front, I don't see us signing a striker. If we are playing 2 up, we will not sell Dzeko anyway imo.
