Don't worry, Barcelona will get him this summer. The bans and FFP work only for us.

Thought I read somewhere Barca have excluded themselves again from signing him?

That said I can't help get the feeling this is going turn out like Kaka all over again, a very public attempt, with us being taken the piss out of by the (in this instance by Juventus) fuckin wops "no intention of signing blah blah blah".......?

Fucking wops was classy. Cockface.

The fact that they haven't moved on suggests to me that nothing is off the table yet.
Like I said before, City have said feck all to the media, apart from two bids for Sterling, which come to think of it seemed to be leaked by the Dippers.

They may have moved on already, they may never have been officially in for any of the 3 the media said were our targets.
I would think they are though and the silence suggests that nothing is over.

I'd much rather have it this way, than the Sterling media circus generated by the Liverpool loving pundits and press. Whether we get any of them or not, City are acting in a far more professional and dignified manner, in my book.
I wasn't one to advocate the signing of Sterling in the first place but I'd have him out of sympathy alone now. I think the way he is being treated and has been treated by the club and their fans is absolutely appalling. Pogba? I think signing him is more of a statement by City if it happens, than an absolute necessity. I think getting him ahead of Barca or Rael or PSG would send a message to the world. I take the reports of City distancing themselves from the deal as just more media speculation. They haven't got a clue, no more than we do.
Same with De Bruyne I'm sure. If they happen, they happen. I think the media are as much in the dark as we are.
Nature hates a vacuum and that's why it created the sports media to fill it with noise.

Until we get something officially from City on any deals I'll neither praise or condemn our management team. I would have liked some players in by now and I would imagine City would too. In my mind that suggests that the targets that they are working on are still very much alive.

You're quite right, we are dealing with it the right way, but with twats like McAteer going on talkshite saying it's all City's fault because we told Stirling to act like a cunt, I'm sure we'll be the villains again. It's just like the Lescott saga all over again, poor old scousers being bullied by moneybags City.
Only this time we're refusing to be ripped off. According to the media, we were cunts for paying what blue scouse wanted for Joleon, and I'm sure we'll still be cunts for not paying what their neighbours want for Stirling.

It's the same as the Lescott situation imo. That was the day Everton & their fans finally realised City had moved up a level from where we were previously, & they had been previously, after pretending for some time that both clubs were still at the same level. They couldn't handle it.

Now is that moment for Liverpool & it's not going well at all. We saw it with Chelsea & Torres a few years back. Now it's City, but this is worse for them.

You've worded that very well there Ted. The bin dippers will be feeling City are worse than a really bad mouth abscess..........and that makes me very happy indeed!

Bin Dippers ALWAYS need someone else to blame , once this blame has been firmly attached to us MCFC via there hypocrisy and media propaganda campaign plus the fact they still haven't stopped crying over Slippy G now loving life in L A , Sterling might just finally become a City player . Absolute horrible twats , hope this blows up in there face bigtime and so glad we are a huge irritation to them !

I'm sure you know, that historically, they were a right bunch of cunts re City, & it's in the modern era when they have started patting us on the head as fellow 'anti Utd' supporters, but that was because we were no threat.

Now we are a threat again & indeed better than them, they will just end up treating us like they do the rags. They were more 'up' for the City game at Anfield, than the rags' game, by a long way.

If Sterling does sign, it gives them the excuse to ramp it up even further. It's time we gave it them back. We are too fucking nice to these people when they come to our place.

I've had to come on here to air my piece as the power tripping mods at bluemoon banned me for daring to speak out of turn. It's turning into a circus over there. Anyway, my personal opinion is that Pogba will be staying at Juve. Something has clearly gone on in the last week and we've subsequently briefed the press he's too pricey. But I don't think the price is the sticking point. I think if it was a case of stumping up 5mil for the hottest property this summer we would have done it. I think he's told us that he wants to go to barca next year and we've used the price as an excuse to save face. I think this will get us close to KDB tho. perhaps a new CM next year when we ship off yaya?

I agree I think its over for Pogba - oh well life goes on and it will mean more opportunity for Delph, which I am sure will help make his mind up.
One other thing, which is purely speculative on my part, is I wonder if the city hierarchy feel that if we're spending that sort of money we might as well go for bale?

I'd say he and sterling occupy too similar a position to spend over 120m on combined. while you can play 1 out of position whats the point in paying top whack for a player that you won't be getting the best out of

They've been inundating Talkspite in their droves, especially in the last few days and one of them even went so far as to state that Sterling was a "cancer" that was killing their club and that they should now off-load him immediately at any price.

It really has been disgustingly cringeworthy, whilst being exceptionally humorous at the same time. Really good listening.

I don't get Talksport but I have to say from a human perspective, I don't find any of this funny at all. I think professional football in general is being allowed degenerate into absolute farce, but the treatment of a 20 year old kid for wanting to leave a club, has gone beyond what any rational minded person would deem as acceptable in any decent society. Sport brings out the best in the human condition but at times it really shows us up to be nothing more than tribal cavemen. I sincerely hope that the whole of Liverpool is not like that.
