Dear Mr Hughes,

It seems that everyone is still holding back on their ITK bollox as they await your return. As you can imagine, that has put many of us in the uncomfortable position of keeping busy and finding alternative conversations to pretend to have, which as you will be well aware given your longevity and rich posting history on this impeccable forum, is quite difficult and strenuous.

In fact, some have asked quite pointedly "Could we setup a GoFundMe effort to actually "go find Ted and get him back online." Most suggested we could do this by using a computer and the internet to go to a website and setup said effort, however I've discouraged people from taking such drastic actions as yet.

Please do take a minute and inform us upon your return, as you can see from the traffic and the topics that people are suffering and there is surely only one cure for what ails them.

Yours Respectfully,

D. Merchant
Florida, USA

I didn't mean I would miss posting stuff to you cunts, I don't know fuck all about it other than what I've read, I meant I might miss reading stuff on the net if anything happens before the weekend.

Dearest Tedward,

I wanted to write and thank you for your kind note in response to my concern regarding your whereabouts. It seems like things have settled for you and you are back at home now in good care and focused on getting better and regaining your strength.

When you are feeling up for it please let me know as I'd love to have a long walk or perhaps share a late afternoon beverage with you so that we can catch up again. I've heard so much about you and your footballing knowledge that it does delight me to know that you are safe and sound my friend.

Please, don't be shy about reaching out and asking for anything you need Mr Hughes. Our family has missed you immensely and welcome you back with open arms.

Unconditionally,

D. Merchant,
Florida

Marotta, Juve's CEO, says they'll refuse all offers for Pogba this year. A 100 million euro offer might change his mind but whether City are prepared to make it is another question. Not sure City will be in for him next summer and without an auction Juve might find the price a lot lower than they might have got this window.

There does seem to be confidence about the others. I'm sure Sterling will get done as no one else is bidding and he can't stay. The Barca news made Pogba seem more possible, but de Bruyne has been quiet for weeks, so I'm surprised by that one.

No idea where they'd all play, even if Delph is only a back up.

There are absolutely 100s of fucking knobheads rags & god knows what on BM, but I'm absolutely convinced that Ric & some of the other lads are just relaying info they get told from good sources, to City fans, & occasionally commit the sin of getting excited themselves, as City fans.

Whoever we sign, I 100% believe that these lads have been told stuff & are reporting it in good faith. That doesn't mean it happens as we hope, just that it is happening.

Cutting through the noise is difficult, but for Ric to say Delph is done makes me think it is. For the others, the statements from a few have gone from us being in with a shout to it looking good. As we've seen previously, even with managers, someone saying they'll come and actually arriving is very different, but it looks like we might be having a proper transfer window for the first time in a few years.

It looks like this is getting nearer to completion if you believe the press.... I hope they are right it is Simon Mullock and he does have a bit of history of getting it right with City

Well lets just hope that juve dont bottle it. Like how ac milan did with kaka. Clearly we are willing to pay the money. If they do chicken out, expect to see him at barca for like maybe 40 mil next season. Rot on their bench for the subsequent 2 years and then return back to juve on loan.

It's the one guy, Simon Mulock, who seems to sometimes get tipped off on stuff by people at City.

Whether this is one of those occasions, who knows ? But he has got the story right on some previous occasions, when everyone else has been talking bollocks.

Is he the City fan? There's one out there and I think it's him. Hopefully he's been given the info because of that and it's not an article based on the hope of a fan...

It has been said that he is a City fan, but no idea whether that is true. But some of the media types amongst City fans have said that they believe he gets the occasional bone thrown in his direction by the club.

Thought I read somewhere Barca have excluded themselves again from signing him?

That said I can't help get the feeling this is going turn out like Kaka all over again, a very public attempt, with us being taken the piss out of by the (in this instance by Juventus) fuckin wops "no intention of signing blah blah blah".......?
