The Argentina striker has been linked with a return to the Premier League, with one English club said to be among three to have made the player an offer.

Atletico Madrid have also been credited with a strong interest in the 31-year-old, but Juve's general director Giuseppe Marotta says the Italian Double winners will not sanction a move to a European rival, revealing Tevez will only exit the club to satisfy a desire to conclude his career in Argentina.

"Players are human beings and we have to respect their personal reasons," Marotta told Corriere dello Sport. "The will of a player is crucial and the same goes for Tevez as it does for Paul Pogba.

"Tevez has declared his wish to end his glorious career in Argentina.

"We are awaiting a response from him and we are ready to help him because it would be counter-productive to create an uncomfortable situation for both parties.

"We expect an answer from him before Saturday.

"If he decides to stay with us, we will be happy otherwise we will be sad but we will have great respect for what he has achieved."

On the prospect of a move across Europe, Marotta added: "Tevez to Atletico or PSG? We have given him the availability to leave because of a life choice. In other words, to return home and not to go for free to another European club.

"I'm certain that if he leaves it will be to go to Argentina."

Tevez is currently on Argentina duty at the Copa America in Chile, where he is said to have held talks with Boca Juniors president Daniel Angelici earlier this week. The striker has one year remaining on his contract at Juventus.

Actually, based on last seasons signings and some players we seem to be linked with I'm afraid you are wrong there.. Signing players like Sagna, Fred2..being linked to likes of Delph.. Sounds like arsenal to me.

Big summer this imo to show where we are going.

I do however have faith in our owners & Khaldoon so I'm not reaally worried, But that thought (of becoming the next arse) has come to my mind more than once..hope that was just the disappointment of last season

Moonchesteri, I agree that Carlos Tevez was rightly blasted and condemned for that unacceptable act of mutiny and desertion, when City needed him most. However, both Carlos & Roberto Mancini agreed to put their differences aside, to complete that winning objective together. How many other managers & teams have ever gotten past such a scandalous player/manager fallout and then, went on to win together?!
There are even photos of Carlos shaking Roberto Mancini's hand & celebrating with him, on the final day of the season.

In April of this year, Carlos admitted that he made many mistakes during his final year at City & that he regretted them. If you would like to read the statements made by Carlos, here is a link to his quotes, at the time:

Carlos is fitter than ever and yes, I would gladly take him back in a heartbeat... City might have won the Premier League, if they could have added the 29 goals that Tevez scored this season for Juventus. However, Carlos & his family are personally happier living in Italy... Nevertheless, I will always be thankful for all the positive contributions he made as a player for City.
