We're not there yet. Two tough games left that we are more than capable of screwing things up in.

Scotland have Poland next. I think they would need to win there looking at the goal difference.

If we end up level with Scotland, I think it goes to the head to head results, so Scotland go through to the playoffs.
We need to pickup points in the last two games.

Sagna had an assist with a really nice cross but was off at half time with an injury. My source is Le Monde. No idea whether it was his ankle or not.

I'm quite worried about the Palace match. When will the South Americans be back? Palace are a decent side with pace up front and a real attacking threat. Very good atmosphere in a small ground. I'll be absolutely thrilled with three points.

Who? Sagna, Zaba and clichy are all injured. Maffeo was on the bench against Watford and now there are no senior players fit for his preferred position.

Otamendi

He hasn't played much footy recently. He didn't even get a game for Argentina so it would be a gamble.

Maybe a 3 4 3 bringing mum in the centre of kompany and the mangler.

I was really hoping to go unchanged again.

It hasn't been confirmed that Sagna's out yet WW, afaik. Fingers crossed he's alright.

I'd rather let maffeo play at RB than try a back 3.

Very worried about palace. We're in for our first serious test coming off this horseshit international break.

Cheers

Although they haven't played for City this season, both Otamendi and Demichelis have been subbed as right backs, before. Yes, it won't be ideal to try playing them out of position, against Palace, on their narrower pitch.

I don't think Pellegrini would try using Nasri, Navas or De Bruyne, as makeshift right wingbacks. So, Maffeo might just have his tryout, after all. Or, let's all hope that Sagna or Zabby makes a miraculous recovery, in time!

Here's a press article about this injury question:

I like your poetry or song lyrics... Is there a tune to go with your lyrics?... Or, should we just imagine that "You'll Never Walk Alone" is playing in the background!

You just imagine "You'll Never Walk Alone" if that's what makes you happy.

I'm sure those with young kids in their families will recognise the lyrics. It is Disney's biggest selling record ( do we still say record? )

Yes, it was just my silly joke, but it may actually be that Jiminy Cricket Milner will be singing Disney's all-time top song, "When You Wish Upon A Star," after playing every position on the Liverpool pitch!
