Either he was already surplus to requirements, or we need more sporting directors in the game like this

just said that exact same comment to my lad.

either way it's a fantastic statement. Loved it.

It was horrific. Worse than a bite imho. At least a bite is rampaging, juvenile, psychopathic competitiveness....that finger and feigning shit was cynical and ugly and absolutely the kind of cheating all fans really hate.

cheers

I thought the finger up the arse was brilliant, a very old trick guaranteed to get a reaction. His falling over though really was a disgrace.

Doomie, try not to get too excited from all this talk of asshole fingering.

Aguero subbed of vs Colombia, Tevez on. No injury worries, he just wasn't at his best today. Ospina made a great save against him and Messi though:

Argentina have so much attacking talent its incredible how they never score more than a gol or two per game in major tournaments

i thought Aguero had a pretty good game actually.

Ospina has the match of his life or else it's a 2 or 3-nil loss.

Now it's anyone's match. That was a fun 0-0 tho...i have to say. Sad to see one of them lose tbh. Oddly, if Columbia go through it'll be scoring only one fucking goal all tourney. El Tigre my black ass.

cheers

woah....another chance now. Will he send Tevez? He better. The cunt.

Good job Tevez, but I still don't understand how a team with Messi, Aguero, Tevez, Lavezzi, Higuain, Di Maria, etc... don't score more goals

If Argentina had lost that, whoever chose the order of penalty takers would deserve torturing before being shot.

Zaba looked like Zaba tonight. He was one of the only Argie defenders who had regular defending to do, but nothing got past him. Looked a lot fitter.

Argentina coach Gerardo Martino has revealed that he and his coaching staff tried to stop Carlos Tevez taking a penalty in the country's 5-4 shootout victory over Colombia in the Copa America.

Argentina's quarterfinal meeting with Colombia went to penalties after a goalless 90 minutes and Tevez stepped up to score the decisive spot kick.

The striker, who will be joining Boca Juniors from Juventus this summer, missed for Argentina in the 2011 Copa America against Uruguay, and Martino had doubts about Tevez's state of mind on Friday.

"Football is like that sometimes," the Albiceleste boss said. "I didn't put Tevez in among the first five penalties because he had missed in the previous Copa America.

"We tried to prevent him having to go up and take one but eventually it came around to him. That's football, and tomorrow's headlines will all be about redemption."

Wow, what an absolute fucking tool he must be.

As if Tevez is the sort of bloke to dwell on that for four years. He won't even think it was his fault.
