Women's World Cup

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Very disappointed with Sweden's effort this World Cup. Of course we were blessed in several aspects over the last 15 years or so, but still, even though the player material is not as good anymore there's no excuse for the lack of organization and how our core players let us down. Schelin did not have a single shot on goal in four games and I personally fail to see why Seger isn't dropped. She's a defensive fuck up waiting to happen, several times a game.

Crap. Hope Germany's players catch fire from the seering artificial grass.

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

I was more disappointed with the blatant dive for the penalty which killed Sweden's chances.

IT wouldn't have mattered anyway. Germany were much better organized than Sweden and their strikers were up for it. We didn't stand a chance as soon as the first one went in IMO.

Fuck me the South Korean women's team make DiMaria look like Jessica Alba. That's got to be the weirdest looking bunch of fucks I've seen for a long time. The Korean women in the crowd don't look like that. Where the fuck did they get that lot from ? Some weird shit going on there.

That's like a throwback to the East Germans in the 70s.

France play some good stuff.

France played some really nice stuff there.

Korean keeper has been in the wars. Some proper gbh even from her own players. Luckily she has plastic skin & stretched over a skeleton made of metal.

By all accounts, some of the Norgie press has been talking about England getting 'one hell of a beating', so come along gals, fuck them up.

This is like watching Graeme Taylor after Terry Venables.

I thought England were getting somewhere in recent times. This is going back 20 years. Fucking pathetic, against a basic longball team, being outpassed by them.

Well that first half was utter crap.
Some of the decision making is not even primary school stuff.
Come on ladies sort it out.

I think it's the way this wanker is setting them up. He doesn't see a difference between one player or the next, they are all chess pieces for him to move around in his stupid fucking kid's playground tactics. They have no idea what they are supposed to do.

My first post on the subject. England look toothless, the standard is awful and the coach comes over as an utter turd.
Other than that, it's looking good.
City and sniffing knickers.
Come on Blues.

City's previous ladies #1 wouldn't have shit the bed on that wide ball leading to the corner and the goal junior league shit from the american-cum-English keeper.

Cheers

P s and they score a nice one! Come on. That wasn't shit. Good for you ladies. Finally something nice.

From the moment Norway scored, that turd's tactics went out of the window, & England had to come out & try to win, & looked a better side than Norway.

How the fuck Jill Scott isn't the first name on the team sheet fucking baffles me. She could play for France.

One of the girls was actually asking for some sort of directions from a corner we had late in the game, seems the manager is a bit useless.

Well done to them though. Jill Scott looks a player

Not if she's already played for England!!

Seriously though she certainly made a difference. Great to see city players doing the business.

Didn't think England were ever out of it. Well disciplined in the main and grew into the game. Carney englands key player the rest seem to respond to her if she is on it.
