Looking like kelechi will be the last man standing
Having said that does anyone think denayer might be pushed into midfield? great on the ball and has a good passing range, be intersting to see how he would do.

I think he will have another year on loan and then be Demi's long term replacement.

Somehow I don't see Lopes long term. Sale I suspect.
Roberts - surely good to go when we rest Sterling or Navas in the league cup on current playing style?
Denayer - his agent can fuck off too. He could be on the verge of demanding a career at Barnsley for his man or sticking around for his chance

I'd be disappointed if we let Lopes go permanent, one of my favourite players!
Tick tock tick tock.

I tried to stick with lopes in my fifa career mode, they rate him a 73 at the start, but he plays above his rating, quick and with a decent pass (poor shooting though). He never gets any better even with regular game time across 4 competitions. I had a player start out as a 60 and pass him within 2 years just sitting on the bench. Sorry Rony ...

Why will Lopes be off? He's not 20 yet.
Can't really watch EDS but he had a good season last year at Lille I thought. Another loan seems more likely, no?

Lopes has 12 months left on his contract - probably unlikely to resign, especially if he's given little to no chance in the senior squad this season

I see.
Can't you loan players out a bit later than the transfer window?
When is our first Capital One match to be? Maybe he gets a few games with us there before that possibly happens.

For the second time this summer he's threatened City if we don't play his boy. Never heard of him either.

As much as I want to see the young players being promoted to the first team, they have to earn it. As such, Denayer has a small case to say he had a good season at Celtic. But that is all. He is up against top players, who will improve his own game if he is patient and watches and learns. We owe the lad nothing. He has a 5 year deal, probably on decent money and he has every chance to prove himself. Cream rises to the top and we shall see, not just with Denayer, but with the other academy players as well

Does he? If Demi becomes a backup defensive midfielder he could get some games in league/fa cup matches, at least.
I think we may want to give Kompany more games off than we typically do.
We shall see.

Demi seems to only be backup defensive mid right now cuz Fernando is injured.
He did the same last season vs. Chelsea (I think both Ferns were injured then).

Otamendi will do a job in midfield as well. I am wondering if that's the plan. Losing Milner and fatty has hurt us in the middle and otamendi would give us some real bite.
