About £1m according to the Daily Record.

Surely, this makes Denayer a cert for next season's squad?

Hopefully this means Denayer will be back with us and be challenging for a starting spot. It might mean Demi having to cycle back to 4th choice but at his age I'm sure he's happy to do that.

Strangely enough, I still wouldn't be surprised if DeMichelis was still in with a shout of playing in most games next season, especially if Kompany's form continues to be a concern.

Plus Vinnie will probably miss a third of the season due to injuries anyway so I'm sure we'll see quite a bit of daft Martin next season. Could mean more chances for Denayer too

Good luck to the lad hope he does well there. Not our level but was needed for the home grow quota and hopefully now means one of the kids gets a chance.

Good luck to Boyata, I really liked the look of him in his first few games under Mancini, but he's not really pushed on, sometimes in difficult circumstances. Hopefully Celtic will be good for him.

MDM to start as fourth choice and then be main man from October when the others lose form/get injured/ get suspended, as usual.

Absolutely, if he works hard and gets himself decent experience in the SPL, I can see him at a mid prem side in a couple of years from now. He can't be too happy that Denayer (I'm guessing here) has at minimum taken his spot in the squad.

Good luck to the lad

Not being funny, but isn't the reported £1.5m fee just giving him away. He has Premier League and International experience. You'd expect to pay that for a lad in division 3 from a Peterborough or a Preston

Roughly 150 combined Premier League minutes over the last two seasons, a dreadful loan spell for Bolton that potential interested parties will remember & at 24.5 years way past what you would class as a 'talent'. Kept around for being club trained essentially. I will not call it shoddy treatment outright, as the player agreed to extend his contract himself, but the less said about this matter, the better imo & I certainly believe that neither club nor fans are in a position to expect any kind of serious fee out of his departure.

Good luck to him either way.

More chances for Denayer now, sure, but challenging for a starting spot next season seems rather fanciful unless a lot of things go wrong and he impresses along the way.

demi is our best CB currently and has been all year.

Its kompanys place that's at stake (or should be).

Good luck, Dedryck. The last of the Youth Cup winning team.
