Summer transfer thread

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

anything that's a new rumour starting int he last 48 hours is a fucking panic buy from any club at this stage.

Most clubs are probably shitting it for one or two more players in at the right price. I'm sure Jose has a paddle with holes in it that he's walking the halls of Cobham with today.

Viva el Spafia!

cheers

Isn't he like a 1 in 4 striker for Monaco FFS?

£36m for a 19 year old old with a 1 in 4 goal record makes Sterling look like a signing from TKMaxx. And after letting RVP leave for about £4m.

You couldn't make this stuff up

Martial bid being reported as 55 million euros rising to 75 million (with add-ons). So 55 million euros, then. Hilarious.

L'Equipe say the total including bonus is 80 million euros. They describe it as an astonishing figure. Claim United had bids of 50 million, then 70 million turned down.

Juventus sniffing round Samir but apparently he doesn't want to leave. I hope we keep him. He'll be hungrier now and we need a strong squad. He's a helluva sub.

Nasri, Navas, Fernando, Delph? Roberts.

Our midfield depth is amazing, they can fuck off.

Is this for real? Does anyone here watch Ligue 1? Is he any use?

I've just been told that rags are crowing on BookFace about how great this signing will be.

Have I entered a parallel universe?

He played very well at Arsenal for Monaco in the chumps league last season and he is fast. That's only time I've seen him play though.

Marca reporting a fee agreed for the donut thief.

Fuck, they're looking very weak, even compared to last year. Obviously looking to save some money after their recent splurge

Where's that 'Laughing' thread ;-)

Never seen the kid. On video evidence he looks like a crap version of Danny Welbeck. I'm sure if he does any scoring at all vs. us then they'll feel justified.

You'd think at these prices though they'd just go get someone who actually has proven something, somewhere, sometime. They'd have done better with Adebayor, Chuck Austin, or even Fabio fucking Borini.

He's just been called up to the French squad, and is fast, but his goals to games ratio is poor. A much bigger gamble paying that and bringing him to PL than City signing Raheem who knows what it takes in this league. He might be a good signing long term but won't save them this year.

that price for either is silly but if someone wanted Samir for 30M you'd have a hard time saying "fuck off" to that offer, wouldn't you?

cheers

I like Nasri so would keep him for this season, anyhow.
