Anyone watching?
Half decent game as it goes. Sevilla just scored two quick goals and now lead 2-1.

I've been watching. Sevilla deserve their lead but I'm shouting for the blues as they did us a favour in the semi. Good game and really well staged with the intro etc

More goals in this you'd have thought. Fairly open for a Euro final

Only seen the last 10 mins but looks a cracking match-up.

Europa league finals are almost always better to watch than Cl finals, imo. More attacking.

3-2 Sevilla. Could be the first club to retain the EL trophy

On a two year loan as part of the deal that took Rakatic to Barcelona last summer.

Fair play to Sevilla, deserved their win but I was a bit gutted for Dnipro, always like to see the underdog win.
Question, if Sevilla had already qualified for next season's CL through their league finish then would the Europa League runner up get the CL spot or would the next best team in Spain get it?

Sevilla did not qualify for the UEFA Champions League because of their league finish, but Valencia did.
Spain will have 5 teams in UCL, well if Valencia will manage to qualify after the playoff. Both Dnipro and Sevilla missed the UCL through their league finish.

Whenever such things are discussed in relation to the PL, it's the next team in the league that get it. So Sevilla would have qualified as winners and the next Spamish team in the league have qualified too. Of course that's just what our commentators always say so it's probably bollox.

The spot doesn't go to anyone - one team gets moved up through the system all the way. If I've worked it out correctly, the CL first qualifying round would just have 2 teams in it.

I think that's the answer, same as the country of the champions league winners don't get an extra spot after the exception was made for Liverpool

As England have 4 spots, how many do we get if we win the Europa and Champion's League the previous year? Six?
If those cup winners were 1st and 2nd domestically, would this mean that 6th place in our league qualifies?

I'm sure that after the Liverpool situation it was said that no country would ever have more than 4 teams in the CL
