Couldn't finish reading it. Got as far as second team in north wests second city. Assume the rest was full of shit and self serving delusion?

The Mirror is one of the medias worst publications and the only place it has is in the lavatory to wipe up shit. Maybe rolled up to hit a rag or dipper with as well

Hilarious.

He's being sarcastic.
We need to remember the murdering pricks aren't getting £49 million for him. QPR are getting part of the fee as well. I'm assuming they put a 20-25% clause on him.

As much as my Liverpool fan mates are all great blokes and I'm sure they wouldn't lie to me when they tell me they're going to be a force this year, i am indeed being sarcastic.

We've paid over the odds, yes, but we have the man we wanted and giving the scousers 50 million is like giving a Stevie Wonder a paint-by-numbers. I bet Southampton are shitting it mind.

I hope the fact we've taken the knock on this fee means we will go balls-out for the other targets.

A slightly different way of looking at this price of players nonsense, if he was worth £49m then I'm sure more than just one club would have been in for him. The truth is he is worth that to us and us alone so we paid it, we don't need other clubs to want to buy him incase it doesn't work out because we can cover it we are lucky that way. This isn't a direct pressure on the lad as im sure the management team will sit him down and explain clearly to him, all he needs to do is his best and be seen to be doing so. If he gives 100% and works for the team the fans will get behind him as will his new Co workers, so less of a price tag and more of transaction we are happy to make to get what we want.

I dont care what we have paid.
Im happy weve addressed an issue of the complete lack of pace in our midfield imho this signing is a good one and kicks the bonanza off in style and will have Platini in tears.

+1 - it's a shit lot of money, but he ticks the pace box, he's a regular international player, is English and is well under 30 - so many boxes ticked. Fingers crossed this one goes through - until its black and white on the mcfc homepage I'll not rest easy

It's fucking outstanding work. There was so much hatred for city in that piece.

SSN are really at it now.

"City paid £49m for sterling.
That's more than Real Madrid paid for Zidane".

Fucking WOW.

The club need to start addressing this more. It's disgusting.

Ok, there may be 20 million "homegrown bonus" but this guy is legit good and chance to be genuinely great. NQDP approves.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

If he's signed it's time to support him despite my mixed feelings, after the Delph saga I am anxious to see it on mcfc website yet though.
