New Pep rumours

beIN sport apparently reporting that Pep has reached a verbal agreement to manage City.
Richard (smash her backdoors in) Keys is saying he has reason to believe it's true.
Make of it what you want. It will make a huge difference to the transfer window if true.

Richard Keys also suggesting this strengthens the prospect of us landing Pogba

I wouldn't read too much into this.
Someone on Twitter posted a few hours ago saying pep had agreed to join city, and Bein sports were the source
I've been watching bein sports all day, and this appears to be bullshit. Nothing was reported on bein sports until over a 2 hours from the original tweet by someone called 'Bayern & Germany'
Keyes talked about the 'rumours from Twitter' at half time, saying that 'apparently the source is bein sports', effectively saying that if it was from bein sports, Keyes and Gray appeared to knew nothing about it, which would be a bit odd
I think bein sports are now simply repeating the rumour, but there seems to be absolutely no evidence that he original tweet by Munich & Germany has any foundation at all.

Fair enough.

Keyes also said that City have made an offer of 100 million Euros for Pogba. I don't how much that is in British Pounds but that's a lot of money and a serious offer !

The 'Munich & Germany' Twitter user apparently stated as fact that Benatia had signed for city last summer. Appears to be a wum.
Will see if anything else is said now at full time.....but bein certainly aren't running with this story as big news
My first thought was rags trying to destabilise us for the last few games, perhaps I'm too cynical

Might just be someone flying a kite hoping to predict something & claim itk status if it happens later.
Richard Keys backing it up is a bit strange though.

Bein are now running with the 'sources close to the organization' line.
The timing of all this is suspicious that someone on Twitter 'broke' the story a couple of hours before the alleged source even mentioned it.

I think there is substance in this.
I just don't know how well players would play for a manager that they know is leaving an entire season in advance?
Actually, scratch that- I'm pretty sure the Bayern players knew their manager was leaving before the season started and they won the treble!
Maybe theyu upped their game wanting to be part of the pep era?

Balague is rubbishing the story as being completely made up.
Although he said the same about Robinho coming to city too

And Pep going to Bayern I think. And we were signing Falcao.

He said Guardiola wasn't going to Bayern two days before Pep was announced as Bayern's manager.

It could of course be the case that Bayern have decided they are happy to let him go, & save themselves about 8-10 mil next season, as they will probably win their league with any cunt in charge, they need a rebuild & his contract runs out next season anyway.

I think people often overlook how important someone like Pep could be for us in terms of worldwide profile. He's a superstar. Pure box office in terms of management - only Mourinho matches that. The Messi and Ronaldo of the management world, profile wise that is. Immediately the quality of players we could possibly buy goes up a notch. Pellegrini and Mancini are not the same level. Even if Pep's potential reign at City wasn't that great, we'd still benefit in many ways. We wouldn't get that same aura with Klopp or Simeone. Just worth considering...
I still think it's bollocks though. I reckon he'll stay for a year.

That's the key for me. There is absolutely no guarantee Pep will win stuff with City, but there is no other manager who guarantees that. With Pep, no player on the planet is out of our reach.
If he leaves because it hasn't worked out, the next manager gets a team full of quality players, maybe a few superstars, & some advanced youngsters, who are all great at passing a football.
If he turns up at rags or Arsenal, they get it instead even if he fails.
