During the match all the defenders played shit in the first half , Mangala was the worst imo and the reason why I single him out TED is probably due to the fact we paid nearly 40 fucking milliin quid for the cunt !!.

The above post wasnt directed at you spurge , just jumped on it to explain somewhat why I ranted at him during the match.

No worries, I'd rather have a response to my posts than no comment, after all to debate and offer opinion on City is why we come on here anyway.

It's not Mangala's fault that he cost a lot of money ( not 40+ mil imo, euros maybe) it's because he is a very highly rated player who clubs were willing to spend a lot of money on. We had this bollocks for years with Lescott. He didn't set his transfer fee either.

And as for CARL quoting Ian fucking Ladyman; who gives a fuck what that spotty little fucking oik thinks ? Stuart Brennan gives Mangala 8 & Demichelis 6. Who cares ? I would give Demichelis 5 at best & Mangala about 6.5. But he shouldn't be judged on his transfer fee, ever. He should be judged on whether he might make a cb for the first team or not, same as Denayer, Rekik, Nastasic shouldn't be overrated for being young, they should be evaluated on what they might be good & bad at. Mangala has strengths & weaknesses, we have to hope the strengths overcome the weaknesses. So far he's 'ok' could do better & needs to be better if he is to be a long term City cb. But I think he has a very good chance.

Just watched the game through. What a great win, full of effort and togetherness. Brilliant really. I thought Bony did well when he came on, can't understand any criticism. Mangala played pretty well too. MP set it up properly. Frank worked hard but was anonymous at times.

I am very relieved that it looks like we are now going to definitely finish in the top 3.

I don't fancy the stress of any Champions League qualifier. Potential Banana skin.

Rags are welcome to it.

I think you saw Joe at the end of the match congratulating Bony on doing well while he was out there.

Really strong team performance when we needed it. Nice to see the team trying to persevere, and credit to Pellegrini has to be given to push through some difficult times with a lot of pressure and criticism being hurled at him.

Still need to maintain our focus to ensure top 3, but something tells me the team actually wants 2nd now, and that's a good sign.

I wouldn't overly fret over a qualifier, although our record against lower quality clubs this season hasn't given us a lot of comfort, but top 3 would help us with attracting top players this summer more so than 4th.

Given that our form and confidence been shaky lately and we're missing a few players I thought we did well yesterday. Not a brilliant performance in terms of quality but the team showed fight and spirit that made me proud. They showed that they really cared and dug deep to get the result. Well done!

Regarding Mangala I strongly believe that he will come good and be a key player for us during the coming years. I'm confident he will step up his game next season. He's been shaky and not performed at desired level but that goes for most of our defence this year. Good thing here is he's well aware of it himself and sets high expectations for himself. For those who haven't read the interview with him in the guardian, give it a read;

first ten minutes, worst I 've ever seen us. Mangala? You think he's OK and then he does something that scares you to death. Fernando? Not hard enough. Silva? was having a laugh at Ted. Aguero? was having a laugh at ted. Milner? a million times better than the schoolboy. Joe? was having a laugh at Carl. Fernandinho ? better but still cant tackle, almost had a laugh at me, but doesn't do laughter.

I could have sworn that we beat Spurs but I obviously got it completely wrong.

With all those players you've identified performing in such an abject fashion, we must have been absolutely thrashed.

Are we safe from relegation yet ??

MC and C64 struggle with irony I think. Let me put it simply . First ten minutes was awful. Mangala looks good then does something awful. Fernando is not strong enough in the tackle. Silva was so good as to make Teds doubts about his position in future teams seem unrealistic. Aguero played so well on his own up front as to make Ted's view that he cant look unrealistic. Joe made all those who doubt him look incorrect. Fernandinho nearly had a laugh at me for doubting him but not quite because he doesn't do humour. Is that easier for MC and C64 or still think I'm criticising the teams performance which was obviously good.?Oh, and I think most would say we looked better with Milner than Jesus.

However, that one and this one were just poor posts to make those points weren't they?

I had no fucking clue what you were drinking but thought I'd better find out so I can avoid it in the future.

Also this word "irony" you keep using, I do not think it means what you think it means.

And neither performance changed anything as far as I'm concerned. I have always rated both as two of the best players we have seen in the Premier League, so the fact of them doing something brilliant doesn't change anything. Hopefully both will continue it for years to come.

Still wouldn't have Silva as my perfect left winger/wide mid or No 10 if I was building a side from scratch though. I would have a specialist in either position.
