Earlier in the season, kids yes. 4 up today, kids yes. 2-0 with Kamikaze defending , & 9 mins added on fucking NO.

Though you have a point, Ted, do you really think he would have brought him on anyway if we were cruising? I reckon not...

No probably not. I think he was there as an emergency. Let's face it, he has done little recently to merit it. There must be 8 or 10 players who deserve a shot right now more than Pozo.

I agree there are many more players more deserving at the moment (though theres an argument that he deserves a chance in his correct position merely because he didn't get that last time) but that's not really my point...

I do wonder if Pellegrini is capable of the nuance thats required to properly develop young players. Sometimes a token gesture goes a long way and everything he's ever projected is one of a complete lack of trust in youth - he kinda paints them really negatively, unintentionally most likely but he does either way. As if they're the last choice that we only go near if everything else fails - not the future of the club. Bit bleak really. Pozo's had a hard time recently and perhaps bringing him on for ten minutes in his preferred position might have been the confidence booster he needed. Also a nice signal for the kids tomorrow night. Okay, we might have needed to be in a more comfortable position, but he still wouldn't have done it anyway. Pure speculation on my behalf that, but I feel I would be right.

At the time of Silva's injury we were well on top. The fact that West Ham had a bit more possession and the odd chance could be attributed to Nasri basically being a passenger. Had for instance, Pozo come on for the last twenty five minutes, would he really have done any worse than Nasri. A double substitution of Pozo and Fernandinho for Silva and Lampard would have kept the shape of the team and allowed Pozo a role like he usually plays. Just an opinion of someone who is desperate to see some minutes for the youth and future of the club

Navas I thought had a good first half but second half nearly gifted them a goal but for hart with a very poor backpass and when got through near end his ball across to nasri was very poor for me he should have backed himself but like last week at the swamp didn't seem to have the confidence in himself to finish the move. For me he remains a really frustrating player, capable of beating a man but doesn't so it often enough and but when I see his stats for assists this season it's hard to argue that he hasn't played well. One thing I would say is I dobt think any of us can question his work rate which has impressed since day one.

They all make strange back passes. It seems to be the flavour of the month, or this spring.

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

I got the impression that he wasn't one bit interested and just strolled round. First out the door for me in the summer.

Cheeky fucker saw a player leave on a stretcher and walked on and hobbled off that was his contribution. He epitomises everything we all know is wrong at City. No Silva now and the half arsed wanker pulls a groin. Strange game, we will struggle in 3 games for me Villa, Spurs and Swansea.

Silva is ok. That's a big relief.

Great news.

Thought I'd pop back on to register relief that David Silva wasn't badly hurt. My biased view at the time was that it wasn't an intentional contact. Kouyate's a big lad, but he's not known to be dirty in his play.

As for the game, the best I can say, from my perspective of course, was that it wasn't the total drubbing it suggested it would be after the 2nd went in. The first of course was a fluke, even if on the balance, a goal was coming alright. The second however demonstrates the real problem we've got in the side at the moment. Downing might as well have let the ball run out. Instead, it gets aimlessly booted towards Song who, stunned that he was the recipient and not the deliverer of the hospital pass, ambled back as if he was leaving the pitch at full time. The result? A breakaway goal of almost ridiculous simplicity.

I think our victory at your gaffe in the 6th round of the FA Cup all those years ago has jinxed us at T'Eitihad. We've not had any joy at all there since.

Good luck in the run in - hope you avoid having to go through the CL qualifying round.

Cheers Walmai, always a pleasure.

Does anyone know what the sophisticated fat twat was remonstrating about on the touchline? He looked like he was going to explode, maybe because he was made to look a twat after all his boasting after the game at Upton Park. Not so sophisticated now, are you Sam?!!

No time to be risking the game when people like Zaba & Yaya are running on fumes. One stupid goal from West Ham would likely bring two & the form Pozo is in, he's not gping to win it back for you.

If you think, that by putting in pozo in injury time, we are at risk of conceding 2 goals or worse then you need to sit in the corner.

We were in danger of conceding goals without bringing him on. You people are just moaning for the sake of it.
Pozo doesn't deserve to be on the bench. He is only there because we have no strikers & the rest are playing in the Youth Cup final.

I'm not moaning for the sake of it at all.........we have had youth on our bench a few times this season and not a sniff of anyone coming on , even when we were cruising. Similar to day.

I'm not too upset that we didn't see Pozo on for a while. It would have been nice but perhaps not was required. I'm more worried that the subs we did put on are regular first-teamers and considerably weakened us, I thought. Maybe not Fernandihno, but the other two definitely.

There you go Phips a fine example of how to behave yourself on a forum.

Mind you Nigel we played West Ham five years ago. It will be on one of the old boards that got moved across but please do go search for it and copy and paste the entirety of said thread and pop that in here too.

Brilliant.

Better still, why not just build him a sub forum?

The cunt is building himself one slowly by blocking everyone.
We'd just be speeding up the situation
