Cheers for that WW. I asked the question in another post. Unbelievable that we have played the same back 4 so few times. NO wonder they can't get any consistency!

crazy isnt it!!!! I would bet that Chelsea have played 30+ games with their regular back 4 this season!

Also, goes the show that Mangala is our best chance of a clean sheet!

If there is one area of the team that you need to keep together its the back four. You win titles with a secure and settled back line. We have never ever had that and this isn't purely down to injuries. MP have been far to keen to rotate and its just not worked. How can anyone play themselves into any sort of form if they are in one week then out for the next two then back in and then out again. If MP stays this needs to be sorted.

Any chance those stats could be forwarded on to a Certain Mr Pellegrini to prove swapping players constantly does NOT work.

I remember them talking on Sky a month or so back (yes I know they are a bunch of wankers that generally chat shit) but they were mentioning how Chelsea had played the same back four, for about 90% of their games.

Totally agree with the rotation system being shit. I think it was in the West Brom game Fernando got MOTM................next game didn't play him. If a player is in form keep him in form by playing him.
This is why I feel sorry for Mangala, taken a hell of a lot of shit yet plays one week then doesn't play for another 3-4 weeks!

The consensus seems to have been that Clichy plays better when he's given an extended run in the side.

Excellent info Roberto.

One optic missing that would crystallize this once and for all is players missing due to injury when the Count made xyz selection.

I agree emotionally that we've chopped and changed too much, but is there an argument about fitness that's made his normal tendencies to swap shit around a bit seem more extreme than it is?

Cheers

difficult one to pin down, Komps is the only one that I reember being any sort of absentee, if you look between game 21-30 he played only 1 game!
record was 8 wins and 2 draws!

Do I have a CARL filter on this stat anywhere? Stupid forum functions...pffft

Some of the changes are down to injury but not all of it.

But it's not just a Pellegrini thing. Mancini was at it all the time. He built the best defence in the league then destroyed it.

anti-licker.

our defense was pretty damn decent at the end of last season.

I believe wholeheartedly than Mangala will be amazing some day. He's not a flop, and not an expensive bust.

If i read the above stats right the BEST combos include Mangala, right?

cheers

A lot of our defensive woes stem from our midfield being piss poor on many occasions this season , also so many defensive fuck ups ie Kompany in poor form and Clichy and Kolarov being shit defenders !

the fact of the matter is that facts are going to make our arguments harder to have and more shit tbh.

You're ruining the site with your facts, you analytical bastard.

How is CARL supposed to fucking even post on here anymore? How is Ted going to write 5 paragraph rants calling people out for only really reading or understanding 20% of what he's written? Now he'll have the facts and post 2 sentences and no one will fight with him. If you thought he was RoboCop before, he'll be full on motherfucking RoboCop 3 now.

I preferred it when people just made shit up and stuck to their guns like a fucking barnacle on a boat.

I love it when a plan, etc

And Carl probably hired a village boy to read his email and internet posts so he won't even know about this I'm guessing.

Maybe this is a good thing after all. You put the anal in analysis Bob.

Related, this one place I worked had a slightly hot business analyst who would run our teams status meetings and when a project deliverable needed analysis she would truncate the crowded spreadsheet row so that it read "Pending Anal." After weeks of this we could literally barely contain ourselves. Not one person on that team stopped her tho.

And yes this made us all want to assfuck her.

Cheers
