Ted Hughes wrote:I don't believe we are still under restrictions as regards the ffp punishment. We have fulfilled our part of the agreement. City have no reason to tell anybody about it though.

But a multitude of sources are reporting that most other clubs will be eligible to apply for a 'relaxation' of ffp, so they can overspend for several years, but that City won't be allowed to apply.

Even if City don't want to apply, this is still some cunts attempting to stitch us up.

You can't find someone guilty of a crime, punish them, have the punishment end, then suddenly go 'oh by the way, we have decided to punish you some more'.

It's completely utterly obviously bent as fuck & something should be done about the people who have sanctioned it. They should not be allowed to carry on in the organisation. It's not even hidden. This is FIFA level stuff; it's corruption.

Unless of course the whole thing is bollocks & UEFA haven't said that at all. But it's being reported as true by many sources, & unless we have already done a backscratching deal where we have agreed to it in order to get other allowances, it should be investigated.

This is criminal activity imo. You just can't do shit like that.

I wonder if we face a new challenge, Getting a club to be straight with us, Old Guard working it all out at a higher level to shaft us at every turn. Maybe nice City has to be fucked off. Less compliant.

UEFA confirm that all restrictions on City and PSG for breaching the old rules are removed. That still leaves the monstrous unfairness that the new flexibility to spend going forward doesn't appear to apply to either club.

Martyn Ziegler has the story on his Twitter feed. He includes a quote from UEFA. Can't see it on their website yet.

It's been reported on Sky too. It just goes to show the journos at the MuEN have not got a clue. They have spouted some crap over the last couple of weeks. All restrictions are lifted including the right to name 25 players in the Chsmps league.

What men etc have been saying though is we can't take advantage of the relaxed rules, nit that last seasons restrictions still apply - we may not be clear of trouble yet

There was also an MEN article which suggested we may not have been free of the sanctions that were imposed last year, thankfully that seems not to be the case.

The relaxed rules not applying to us doesn't really make any odds.

That won't have a direct impact on us as we're loaded and can spend seriously large sums of money this transfer window.

I'm really disappointed in Stuart Brennan for his initial reporting of this.

Both articles were published on the same day, he probably got a backlash off City fans for the first article so wrote the second to appease

Doesn't the premier league restrictions still apply? I think it was 50 mill in the red over 3 years was the limit.
