Good player and local lad too.He doesn't or hasn't stood out I guess mostly because he doesn't seem to have a specialist position. I have seen him play in every position in the back line as well as midfield and he is a good all round footballer and looking at that goal he is two footed as well as I thought he was right footed! Even with our youth sides he quite often is a substitute when full squads are available but has been involved with England squad's for quite a while.

Maybe.

Tbh I have to say, I don't think he has shown quite the same quality as the lads I've talked up on here, but neither does he look out of his depth playing alongside them. I remember watching a game on tv a few years ago when he played midfield & I was very impressed that day.

As a fullback, so far, he hasn't impressed me as much as the Spanish lads, but actually when I've seen him play for England, he has looked more quality than when I've seen him for City; especially going forward.

I've rarely mentioned him cos I've barely seen him play. His brother is in a band that rehearses next to mine (bipolar sunshine - they're decent) and I could have swore he said that he's had a few niggles, which could explain the relatively sparse appearances as he is talented. I might've been drunk when he told me that though so don't hold me to that...

Either way I've seen about 10 EDS/u18s games since the CFA opened and I think I've seen him start maybe once and sub appearances a couple of times. He doesn't shine at fullback as much as Maffeo/Angelino, no, but then I'd argue there's no shame in that as they're absolutely top class potential players. As Ted said he doesn't look out of his depth either. I wouldn't say he's Milner like, more (and i mean this in the nicest possible way) Phil Neville/O'Shea like in his utility type. I mean that as a compliment as whether you like em or not they undoubtedly performed very useful roles for United for years. If he did that for us, which could happen, then I'd be happy.
