Having conceded, it looks as though it will now be a damage limitation exercise for Woy's men, with so little creativity (especially in midfield) in the side.

Jones gets beaten as a midfielder by Chiellini of all people - to supply the pass for the goal. I can just about tolerate Jones in central defence (just about) - anywhere else he needs taking behind the stadium and putting out of his misery. At least Smalling got taken off. Small(ing) mercies and all that.

Apart from anything else, Henderson looks completely out of his depth, as far as I'm concerned.

England are now playing some 'exciting' football in defence.

Just wish they'd stop entertaining this Italian crowd in this way.

The sooner City produce some decent English fullbacks the better.

Trouble is, they'd probably never be picked to play.

England looking a bit better now with the substitutions they've made.

All they need now is to take Shrek off as he's doing nothing but getting in the way and breaking up the attacking flow.

His old pal Clattenburg is the ref. I didn't see either of his yellow cards so don't know whether they were deserved.

Really poor dismissal of Vinny's. Allowed himself to have his pocket picked and then had to grab the other player because he was done for pace.
