Pissed off that I'm up this early to go watch that shite. If we lose today and you see someone jump from the third tier of the East Stand that's me.

Hopefully Kolarov will catch me.

I'm expecting a reaction today but it won't be easy with a Pulis team still needing points.

Will the absence of Yaya have a positive or negative effect?

PS. Gonna miss the game today, got a golf comp. Bummer!

Off out now. Expecting a tedious game and hoping we can squeak it. Looking forward to reading through this thread later, if nothing else.

My lad's having to miss his football for this and I suspect we've made the wrong choice entertainment wise. If nothing else, they better put some effort in today or they can all fuck off.

Last season immediately after being knocked out of the champions league to Barca we had a 12:45 kick off live on BT sport on the following Saturday away at Hull.

After being dumped out of the FA Cup, Champs league and suffering an early set back when VK saw red in the game v Hull, we then showed our metal with one of the best performances of the season to date in a 2-0 victory.

So today in the aftermath of another defeat to Barca in the champs league we once again find ourselves playing the 12:45 kick off live on BT Sport. This time we at home to WBA.

In our title winning season under Bobby Manc after we lost 1-0 at Arsenal and 'handed the title to the rags' in so doing, we played WBA at home in our next game. We shook off the disappointment of the Arsenal game by beating WBA 4-0, whilst the rags lost at Wigan....we know the rest.

So ideally we need a 'Wigan' to happen to Chelsea, it just so happens in another twist, this seasons 'Wigan' will need to be Hull (the same team we played at this stage last season) who are at home to Chelsea.

OK so I'm clutching at straws but you just never know, football has a habit of throwing these little parodies up.

A few stats from the Beeb:

MATCH FACTS

Head-to-head

Manchester City are unbeaten in the last 10 league meetings (W9, D1). They have scored 24 goals in that period, conceding just seven.

West Brom have never won at the Etihad Stadium. They drew on their first two visits but have lost the subsequent five.

City have scored a total of four goals in the opening 10 minutes of their last three league games against West Brom.

Manchester City

Manchester City have lost four of their last five games in all competitions.

City have won 15 points from a possible 30 so far in 2015.

They would be in 10th in the table if only results from 2015 counted, one point behind West Brom.

Manuel Pellegrini's side have scored a league-high 34 second-half goals.

However, they have conceded 12 goals at home, twice as many as Premier League leaders Chelsea.

Sergio Aguero has scored four goals in five Premier League appearances against West Brom.

West Brom

The Baggies have claimed 15 points from a possible 27 under Tony Pulis (W4, D3, L2).

They have kept six clean sheets in nine league games with Pulis as boss.

Albion averaged 0.9 points per game before Pulis' arrival, they are now averaging close to 1.7.

West Brom are without an away win in nine league games (D5, L4).

The Baggies have scored just nine away goals all season; only Aston Villa, with eight, have scored fewer.

They have led at half-time in only one away game - and went on to lose that game 3-2 at QPR.
