He was one of City's youngsters who came into the side in the early 1970s.

He was quite a strong running centre-forward and he was termed "the barnstorming Barney Daniels" because of this but, although he flickered briefly, he soon faded out and was transferred sometime thereafter (from memory, can't remember now where he went to).

Shame really as, initially, there were hopes he might have been a good player for us.

I only know that because I've been to a few doo's at their club (couple of portacabins stook together). They love the Rags they do!
