It's a loon our offical state bird. No one refers to them as United here. It's either just Minnesota or the unofficial nickname the Loons. I guess when the rebrand was done by the new owners a few years ago the settled on United as a way of signifying the uniting of the all of the previous pro teams we've had over the last 30 years am uniting of the Twin Cities Minneapos and St Paul. But we might have to drop United from the name anyways when we make the move to MLS because of the structure of the league.

Rapists or Pillagers would be better, it links up better with the Vikings theme ;-)

Every state celebrates their uniqueness by having state birds, flowers and things of that like.

Difficult concept for you to grasp I'm sure. Its really complex.

Goofball.

Cheers

For what it's worth, all Swedish counties have a county bird, flower, animal and fish.

'Mockingbirds are a group of New World passerine birds from the Mimidae family. They are best known for the habit of some species mimicking the songs of other birds and the sounds of insects and amphibians, often loudly and in rapid succession.'

Or in other words; a noisy, pain in the arse ?

And they've got it in Texas.

Trying to pinch someone else's bird.

FL chose it first.

Not that I'm somehow state proud at any particular level.

There are at least 3 or 4 states I know of which have the mockingbird as a state bird.

Maybe stop mimicking an assclown and jog on, birdbrain?

Cheers

You can baffle Ted further with the State Mottos on each License plate Doomy, that might be a cause of concern too!

My personal fave - New Jersey "Garden State" - which is not how I would describe the place from my experiences. Should be Toll Booth capital of America.
