Grabavoy looks decent, but that Nemec is really struggling. Frank should piss this league, it's a shame as it's entertaining stuff but their touch keeps letting them down

that is "the Kaka," pretty cool seeing him play in MLS, imo. When New York get Lampard, they will look 100% better.

diskerud is a good player, I think he'll learn a lot playing next to fat frank. Good for the USA.

Unfair to Dzeko, I think. That Nemec was horrible!

I think that team looks very well coached & just lacks a couple of players. Some of them are a bit shit. Sibierski for a start.

I bet there are loads we could find, who would make a big difference to that. Mix was the best player on the pitch by a country mile.

Gerrard will fucking piss it over there.

Looked much better after the Shelton sub.

Comical late goal conceded. They truly are part of the family, then.

Yours is the best new username of recent years. Well done.

It'd be even better without the accompanying Horlock photo; you'd get bonus points for subtlety.

Wouldn't mind seeing a kid or two play for them. They'd learn from it definitely.

I thought NYC looked like shit. They played a high line but were caught out left right and center with pace.

They basically hoofed the ball around, lumping it around like mugs.

Didn't seem super holistic to me. Mix's goal was fantastic....but bar that NYC was shit imho.

Kaka looked fairly decent at that level. Which says it all I guess.

Fun day out for sure...and Orlando City will feel aggrieved to not collect all 3 pts. They were head and shoulders the better team.

Cheers

Shay Facey and Eirik Johansen are both playing with them now. I'd imagine more to come in the future.

Seattle and PDX have great fan bases.

Just for the record I dont watch more than 4 or 5 MLS matches randomly during the season. I will prollee take the lad to Orlando City again a few times a season I think. They actually looked decent and the match day experience had him buzzing.

On the way home he did ask me to take him to england to see City...#jobdone

Cheers

I think NYC did alright. One or two of the players are clearly not very good, but I thought they built from the back much better than the opposition on the whole, and considering the opposition have Kaka & NYC don't, I think they did really well to create pretty much all of the scoring chances in the game. Decent Prem strikers would have won that by 4 or 5 with the same chances.

I thought Sibierski did well laying the ball off, but as a striker he is clearly shite. Mix did far more in the game than Kaka imo, & if he'd had Fwank to work alongside, they would have won easily. But there were guys playing for NYC at the minihad who looked miles better than some in that team, so I'm wondering where they were.

On the whole the standard of both was piss, but NYC looked better than that pre season to me, so maybe much more to come.

They should go & find Vlad Weiss imo. No cunt would get the ball off him.

Blimey. Taking the easier route there, aren't you Vlad? He'd be great in America. He could do whatever the fuck he wants.

i'm not sure which match you watched, but i didn't think anything NYC did, bar some attempts to play the ball on the floor by Mix and his wonderful goal, were anything interesting, positive or "holistic."

i thought they were absolute shit, and i could have been watching LVGs United team with their longball antics and horseshit midfield.

Mix was defo the best player on the pitch for me tho...Kaka did fine but the quality here is...League 1 i think.

cheers
