With vinny and mangala on the bench who would you prefer to partner Demichelis?

I just think the billion we spent on him was a criminal act and the responsible person deserves a hangin!

i thought he was decent tonight....he's a bit rash at times and feels he has to get a foot onto EVERYTHING, but i quite prefer his style to Nastasic or Savic or anyone else we've tried to play alongside a cagey vet like Vincent or MDM.

i think he'll be the best CB in the league in 2 years if he keeps his head on straight and listens to mentors and leaders on the team. He's got all the tools so the price simply reflected that.

cheers

I don't think we were very good.

Need to play better to get anything at Burnley imo. But we've got it out of the way. Hopefully get us going again.

I think that's the point about Mangala. He has pace and strength and feels as though he has to get stuck in and win every tackle because he thinks he can. The result is he's given to rash clumsy challenges when he's not in a position to make one. He has to learn to stay on his feet at times. If we persevere with him I think he'll be a very good centre back indeed. Far better than Savic or Nastasic.

We played well tonight all be it against a limited side. Or did they make us look decent?

It's always going to be difficult against a side trying to play on the break so I won't bother with the well written script. What I will say is that this is the difference between playing the likes of Barca and Liverpool compared to the likes of Leicester. The first 2 made us look unorganised and lazy whereas the latter make it look like we're there or there abouts.

I enjoyed it though and even when the pundits were starting to get their claws out I knew we come out on top.

3 points and all is level with the other results. Can't complain too much.

i thought we moved the ball well and had a shit ton of chances to break down a team playing for a nil-nil or the odd chance on the break.

If we ask Kun to drop deeper like that in general and partner Bony that way i think we'll have gone a long way to sort the kinds of shit we saw last week.

cheers

Pellegrini asked why Kompany was dropped- and others. Said he needed to refresh the team physically and mentally. At least Kompany was on the bench, Nasri was left out altogether and Pellegrini confirmed fit....

I don't think we were bad at all. Not great, but we created chances and worked hard and ultimately did the job.

I'm glad Zaba, Komps and Nasri rested too.

Pearson says Leicester should have had three penalties. One certainly. The Fernando foul was very marginal in or out. Don't know what the third was supposed to have been.

I'm not sure how that is defined as I thought we played well. It's hard to play at your best against a team that plays that way but 2-0 and stats of:

69% Possession 31%
22 Shots 6
9 On Target 2

Then I'd say I'm quite happy, especially as the media world were waiting/praying for a City loss.
