As for the challenge on him, it was a payback one for the two footer he did on Meyler a few mins earlier for which he should've been sent off.

Retaliation isn't OK (except if you play for Chelsea), but I definitely thought that Irelands two footer was much worse. That was a real leg-breaker.

I still think we missed out pre-FFP - we had the perfect opportunity to assemble a third team made up entirely of players with countries for surnames and we let it go.
