I remember that Van Persie free kick also Nasri hide from ball. Silva and Nasri do not defend and that against even week teams do not work. We lose points from Burnley for the same reason. Hes ( Nasri ) reaction there is awful .

Still haven't forgiven him for that van Persie freekick. To me he's always been a horrible little shit who I could never like. The sooner we get rid of these types of players at our club the better!

That was our weeknes to good up front ,but same players most of them are bad when we don't have the ball. I can forgive Yaya and Silva ,but Nasri no . In that place we need worker who can play also, by the way Kolarov had good game .Kompany should get bench for me, hes awful .Don't know what happen to him but i would rather have Boyata or Nastasic there now.

Both Nasri and Silva work hard for 'creative' mids imo. But we effectively have 3 Including Yaya, who are all likely to go missing because they are essentially built to attack not to defend.

Nasri imo is as good as Silva when he gets a run in the team without Silva in it.

Three of them is sometimes too much of a luxury vs the best teams. In any formation. But we don't yet have a viable replacement for each one.

Considering how many appearances he has made, you can count on both hands how many times he has given an outstanding performance. Most of the time it is mediocre or worse, the invisible man/woman.

He has talent but there is only so many times you can say that about a player, in nasri's head he probably thinks he's world class, which he isn't by a mile.

I wanted him gone by his second season but now it is his 4th season and we are still waiting to see what he can do.

I am a fan of Nasri and think he has stepped up the plate in quite a few big games and they didnt come any bigger than Rome Away and CoC final last year as an example. However, I think Nasri plays best when Silva is not playing, they just dont seem to gel together, its rare you see them both have a good game.

I think if you compare the two, Nasri has been every bit as good as Silva this season when aowed to play in that role, without Silva in the team.

The best we have played this season as a team is when we have had no strikers imo. Then the whole team pushes up & dominates the game. Then Silva & Nasri can both play & it's not as desperate when we lose the ball.

Nasri Reminds me of the Duracell Bunny out of the adverts.

99% of the time he just runs around in circles not really doing anything.

I think we played more as a unit because we effectively had 6 midfield players attacking & defending together. And we kept the ball.

Barca can do the same with 3 forwards in the team but we need 6 midfielders to balance out Silva Nasri Yaya when we lose the ball.

I was hoping we could play the same with two strikers, but that is effectively what we did at the start v Liverpool but they stopped running after a few minutes. And it wasn't Aguero or Dzeko who let the system down, it was the other 8.

I don't doubt his talent, he's just a bit of an arse. Would you want to be in the trenches with him? I get fed up him giving soundbites to the press before big games then going missing.

this thread is harsh in the extreme. that said, I can't understand why nasri always appears unfit?? he's in his prime - playing 2 matches in 5 days should not be an issue, but somehow it is.

I like nasri but would not say no to this...

Manchester City to sell Samir Nasri and land Real Madrid's Isco

The current Premier League champions came close to signing the Spaniard during his time at Malaga, but instead missed out to Carlo Ancelotti's side.

Isco has played in a variety of positions at the Santiago Bernabeu, but has reinvented himself as a disciplined yet creative central midfielder in the mould of Andres Iniesta.

Manuel Pellegrini is a huge fan of the versatile international, and reports claim that he is plotting to pair him alongside Yaya Toure for the next campaign.

However, City are well aware that in order to meet Financial Fair Play regulations, they must sell before they can buy.

And sources in Italy claim that Juventus are ready to sign Samir Nasri as they prepare to lose Paul Pogba.

Massimo Allegri is looking for an out-and-out No10 to play at the tip of is midfield diamond, and feels that Nasri's technique as well as resilience makes him the perfect man for the role

I think Nasri plays like he is protecting his stats whereas Silva plays with adventure. Nasri is nowhere near the player that Big Dave is.

Yes please!! Definitely one that is needed for a probable rebuilding job for next season. Hardworking, skillful and creative; What's not to like? Why not lob in Jovetic to Juventus as well - £30 million, that will do nicely.

People can crap on about Samir .

What is absolutely unforgivable and it has been proven time after time after time , that David Silva is no dead ball specialist. It has got so bad that everytime he gets anywhere near a corner or freekick my blood boils.

Samir has played very well for us since Roberto left. Some on here are bitching and moaning about him not closing the second goal down.Well really ! nobody, but nobody can switch that fast to block or close down when a player knowingly checks back and then scores such a cracker. Nobody.

The entire midfield were poor yesterday.

based on current rumours, real madrid. which is awful bc i covet him deeply but in a non-sexual fashion.
