One thought on our game this weekend - after this needless bollocks of a trip this past week, they better come back and win.

If we shit the bed and lose tomorrow, the media wont be the only ones going to town on us. The FA Cup represents likely our best chance of lifting a pot this season - do not fucl this up City. Get through this round and we should have a full strength squad by round 5.

he doesn't do FA Cups, you know Sky, if they are not the big fish, then its not really happening.

However, Peter Beagrie has a view.

Manchester City v Middlesbrough

The Championship’s buzzing Boro take on Premier League juggernauts Manchester City at the Etihad on Saturday, with City looking to bounce back after drawing at Goodison and losing to Arsenal last time out.

Middlesbrough’s brilliant manager Aitor Karanka has continued to impress with tactics, team selection and most importantly his recruitment. Proof of the pudding is their points tally of 50 after 27 games, only one shy of leaders Bournemouth.

Boro’s consistency has been key, and with a plethora of in-form forward players at their disposal they possess the quality and belief to trouble City’s rearguard while also possessing a miserly defence of their own, conceding a division-low 18 goals.

Karanka’s men will have to be at their best to silence the City faithful in the early stages of the game, hoping whichever forwards from Patrick Bamford, Lee Tomlin, Kike or Jelle Vossen he chooses get the service from wide men Adam Reach and, if selected, Albert Adomah.

Midfield maestros Grant Leadbitter and Adam Clayton may have to curb their enthusiasm for getting in support of their front men and be very disciplined in the middle of the park. A potential upset could be on the cards if the Boro boys take their Championship form into this tie.

Adam Clayton?

Crap, so we'll have to score two then.

Old City graduate who's actually done quite alright for himself.
I met him at Mary D's before the Pompey home game during Sven's season in charge. He was dating LAHAD's mate's sister, if i recall correctly.

Back on topic: I'm really nervous about tomorrow. We have looked out of sorts the last couple of weeks, and it would not surprise me if we concede an early goal and go into panic mode.
