We're getting nicely bossed by 11 players who wouldn't get into our team......
go figure.
Only positive is game time for some of the Great Unused.

so it looks like Lampard either didnt start or was taken off injured, thats convenient before our next league opponents!
no conspiracy here, move along please :-)
Sinclair came on for him, no mention of why or if injured

I was thinking the same thing. We're out here trying to gain fans but anyone that's watched Is probably thinking what the hell is this piss.

Play the youngsters. At least the pace would be upped a bit. Does anyone know if that Hamburg team resembles their first team at all?

Pretty dire stuff. It's a training exercise and being played like one. Can't really praise anyone or criticise too much either.
I hope Barker doesn't get taken off at half time. Not sure he has the confidence yet to really try to take people on.Makes me wonder what Pellegrini would want him to do, be functional as a wide player fitting into a midfield or give it a real go and see if his pace and trickery gets him anywhere.

I really hope Pellegrini leaves barker on 2nd half. This is exactly what he needs. He is a bit nervous & trying to play it safe, but he showed with the ball to Dzeko & the little ball through to Kolarov, that he can play the bog standard obvious stuff without any problem whatsoever. He's getting behind the ball when we lose it. Miscontrolled it a couple of times but that's down to nerves not ability.
If he'd got minutes vs Newcastle, he would be much more prominent in this game now. Please don't take him off, just let him get used to it.
Thinking the same thing at the same time Doug.

Cracking strike from Jovetic at the end of the half which just missed. Clearly offside goal chalked off for Hamburg. That's pretty much it.

Adler in goal for Hamburg, this commentator hasn't spotted the changes yet though. He was probably off trying out a halal pie at half time.

You can all thank me for that goal, I left the room for one minute. I will be doing it again in another ten minutes so we will score a second.

Is anyone here going to the dinner with Pellegrini? Could someone tell him to stop playing Sinclair? Much oblige on beforehand.

I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

To be fair I thought Barker looked a bit tired at the end of the half. Love to see him play against Boro. Good goal from Jovetic and nice assist from Evans.
