Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Citywatch report that Juventus have made an official bid for Jovetic. 2.5 million loan fee plus an obligation to buy for 16 million paid in two instalments. Nowhere near enough I would have thought. Also Pellegrini talked about looking forward to having all four strikers available to play. I do think he could go in the summer though.

There is a two word answer to them at this stage of the season and especially for the laughable fee stated. We should give it to them straight: "If he is going it will be in the summer and as part of a deal for Pogba or else don't waste our time." Incidentally, is there some sort of ruling that we have to take a financial hit from Italian clubs over transfer deals since 2000?

I hate dealing with Italian clubs and unless the deal involved Pogba or Vidal, they can swivel

ffs ! Juve are connected in the press everyday with every possible player.
Some nerds in the tabloids do it all the time. Just check out the daily bollox from Chinners or even google. It's how they keep themselves in the news for free.Cheapskates... did anyone expect anything else from them.

That's probably fair. I'd do that in a heartbeat.
Cheers

Yessssssssss get him out asap. This is a good fee for him, I don't know why you're turning your noses up at £18m for a player who is constantly injured and doesn't suit our team. Hopefully we can arrange some sort of first refusal on Pogba while we're at it.

If we get similar offer in June I'll bite their hands off. But I want to have four strikers for the run-in

I'd let Dzeko go for that kind of price and keep Jovetic
City and sniffing knickers.
Come on Blues.

If its true Juventus are sniffing then it's not a bad thing. We have a player they want and I hope they have a player we want (Pogba). Supply and demand and cue a deal. They fucked us with £10m for Tevez, lets not let that happen again.

Please remind me again why was the fee for Tevez so low? Was his contract about to end next season or what

Must have been pal. Top scorer in Italian football last year? Certainly up there. Arsenal got £24m for van Persie in similar situation so why settle for £10m

A loan offer, how original. As though they are doing us a favour. We need 4 strikers as we've been reminded for the past 5 months so now we have them, thus selling one now would be plainly daft.
In the summer you can have him, and £30m and we'll take Pogba in return, otherwise fuck off.

We bought him for £22m, he's run two years down on his contract, usually whilst lay on a treatment table and yet some think £18m is a derisory offer? It was also loan with a guarantee to buy, so same as Negredo. Add to that one of the foreign players is being removed from the CL squad and Jovetic is a possible for that.
If we keep him until summer, will we get a similar offer? I don't see us getting more than £20m for him, even if he was to stay fit until summer. Personally, I'd take the offer, although possibly hold out until later in January. That frees up cash for summer with plenty of time to decide who to spend it on.

Top idea that, given Bony is still away till mid-Feb, Dzeko is still sidelined and Aguero is just back and has a history of getting injured. Sell Jovetic and we'd be down to 1 striker again effectively and back to square one.
