No less than 6 of the 11 starters in this evening's England U21 international were at City's academy! A further 3 are on the bench.

That is impressive, very impressive....
I touched on this at end of last season regarding the success of both EDS and U19 team both also doing 3 seasons in a row emulating the 1st team. The rest of the world seem oblivious to it. A truly phenomenal achievement

From the annual report we have had 64 players come through the Academy who now play in the top 5 European leagues and the Football League, 13 in the PL alone.

This doesn’t include other leagues which there must be a few of as well. I doubt any other club has anywhere near that figure. A fantastic achievement

On this note, I've just seen that Maffeo has been called up to the Argentina squad.

Be interested to know how many of our boys from the Academy have gone on to play International football.

I’d bet my hard earned that it’s more than any of our PL rivals

Anyone know what the kid was called that we got from Everton not long ago? I’m sure he was a striker.

Just wondering how he’s getting on because we spent a while chasing him.

Emilio Lawrence I think and he's played wide left of a front 3. A few good moments but doesnt look anything special yet.

Didn't play today - big Mackems outmuscled the u18s and beat us 1-3, Signed from the rags of course but they are doing well without him - top of the table 9 pts clear of us.

Seen some of Parker for the 18's and I like what I've seen. Composed footballing center half

Out of Europe - robbed by a bent ref in Germany. TNT commentator in raptures when the krauts were given the utterly shocking winning penalty - sickening to hear the UK broadcaster cheering on the foreign opponents against an English team.

Just seen we're the last top-tier team in the FA Youth Cup, with Leeds having beaten the Dippers at the end of last week.

We face either Bristol City or Swindon in the semi, with Leeds v. Millwall the other one. If we get through, we're at home for the final (which is no longer two-legged, it seems), scheduled for 4 May: the same day we play Wolves at home if the fixture isn't moved for Sky.
