1 nil at half time and not easy. We were much the better footballing team but Stoke were making it tough and there was always a threat that playing it around at the back might gift them a goal. A lucky goal too with Edozie's shot deflected past the keeper.
Once Delap scored the 2nd though it was all over and WHAT A GOAL it was. Enjoy it when the highlights are shown. The McAtee first goal ( or was it his 2nd?) was a beauty too but Stoke collapsed as we relaxed and played some great football.
Excellent team performance and some very good individual displays too. And this was the regular 18's lads too with none of the EDS under 18's brought back in as was the case last week in the FA youth cup game v Burnley.

See we have let some lad, McNeil, go to the rags for £750k.
A loss or decent business, does anyone who knows the youths have an opinion

They’ll try and take any of our guys, to help recreate the illusion that was the Crass of ‘92.

The kids are already through to the next round of the EFL Trophy, and play Lincoln tomorrow to determine the group winners.
Also, the competition has been re-named from the Leasing.com Trophy to the Papa John's Trophy since our last round. I don't think I've ever seen a mid-competition sponsorship change before.

City 1-0 at half time - Palmer on 2 minutes. 2-0 now - he's just scored again after a minute of the second half
Commentary started after half an hour but still no clock caption. All our future stars on display - Delap, Nmecha, Doyle & Gomes alongside Cole Palmer.
XI: Slicker, Robinson, Burns, C. Doyle, Gomes, Lavia, T. Doyle (C), McAtee, Palmer, Nmecha, Delap
Subs: Moulden, Dionkou, Robertson, Bernabe, Edozie
We've got a clock now too!

Bernabe on for Robinson now - interesting he didn't start
audio coming and going - production values pretty dire
