Brahim Diaz was training with the first team today, those that have remained behind anyway.

It's starting already.

What do you guys think of Kean Bryan's loan move to Bury?
Is it the right level for him right now or could the loan have been to championship side already?

never that easy to be sure a loan like this is the right move. I have a lot of time for Kean and know he will make a career as a pro footballer , the only question being at what level. Yes he might have been better at a championship team but if he has what it takes it will show and he will get better opportunities. I will be interested to see what role he is given in the Bury team.

Personally I see him in a deep midfield role but maybe that's not ideal if it's a long ball game they play. Might even try to get along to a game and have a look as long as he is certain to be playing.

And well worth the wait. Some superb goals. 2 crackers from Sancho and that Poveda looks some player.

Anybody know why Marcus Wood isn't on the UEFA B list along with all the other EDS lads who are eligible?

No idea re Wood.
No 18's game today ( international games I assume) but I hear our 16's and 15's went to Newcastle and both scored 7!!!

Yeah they won 7-0 and 7-2. It's getting embarrassing at this age group, excellent group of players.

Is it this age group the rags started to cry and say they didn't want to play us?

Curious innit? We'll see if he's in the full list for the Tournament phase when it appears.

What worries me is that does this harm their development as it doesn't really sound like they're being tested?

At the ages we are talking about here they can really only play against other "top" teams or clubs. If we happen to be much better than just the way it is. That's key to why this year our under 18's are largely the under 16's from last year. To put them up against older players. Bigger, stronger, more experienced etc to give them a more serious test.

Not really something you can do for say an under 15's side or i wouldn't have thought so anyway. last years under 18's side are now pushed up to under 21's and even 23's. That can be very very significant when you are just 17 like Brahim Diaz.

Oh and our under 13's and 14's played against Crewe today and both teams also scored 7!!

I had heard about that but after I saw the results I thought we had changed our minds and kept the lads at their own age groups!
Thanks again Doug
