I would be really disappointed if this happens. I don't think he looks the finished product yet, Denayer and Iheanacho are farther along, but he is very promising and not too fat behind someone like Navas and will probably surpass him in just a few years. Letting him go will be a big waste of money and will be sending the wrong signals to the rest of the almost graduates of the EDS.

I did realise that just after hitting the submit button and went back and edited my post. But too late. All I can saying my defence is "Je suis un imbécile."

not sure where to put this, but watching Angelino in the NYCFC game vs. Red Bulls right now. Not that this is saying much, but Angelino might be the best defender in the MLS.

EDS drew 1-1 tonight with Borussia Monchengladbach.

Was a sloppy, disjointed game on a miserable night, though we grew into it. Just lacked the final ball and it was scruffy. Thought barker looked very bright when he came on, though he initially started on the bench alongside Maffeo, Humphreys and Nemane. All regular starters. Was a patchy team so I wasn't surprised it ended up like the scruffy game ti was. Garcia had a poor game sadly. Celina was my pick of the first half before he faded in the second and I thought Ambrose was his usual buzzy, vibrant self even though he was played out of position. Not really seen much of that Faupala so far in any games. He doesn't really do much. Works hard but we'll see. Plummer, a CB, scored the goal after a decent free kick routine.

Wrote up something a little more detailed on last night's game...plus discussed Robert's role at City too.

Ta!

Nice read. Less thick than usual which I appreciate!
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

Are you saying Twosips is thick?
That's a bit harsh.

Nah, it's probably fair....

Got an added bonus today. I went to see the u18s, but managed to catch about 20 minutes of the u16s who were on the pitch next to them, three goals of theirs too.

Saw some lovely football.

Come on!

I meant there was a better flow in the text than usual. I'm a lazy reader and therefore I like it.

Ha, nah I know what you mean. I'm joking :)

Match reports tend to be a bit more concise.
